Bingo! was the culprit for me too. after a long while router would go nuts loose internet and act very strangely. upon reboot it would work for a few minutes then malfunction. I guessed this was it as I didn't have any add-ons installed except yazwifi and yazdhcp.

I get you, and I would do opnsense for sure but probably overkill for what I need, and I have to think about other costs. as for the AC88U I can re-use it for less critical stuff.

Really good addon, quick question. can I use this just to check VPN status and if dead restart it? I don't need it for anything else nor do I route all my wan traffic over VPN. I assume I can set a ping for it to keep it alive? Many thanks!
