    GT-AXE11000 and ET12 Nodes

Thank you for your explanation. If I understand you right, you say, 5GHz is the better option for backhaul than 6 GHz. Maybe 5 GHz hast the better range than 6 GHz but is there really a big difference? 2.4 GHz has also a bigger range than 5 GHz, nevertheless 5 GHz is the better option for...

    GT-AXE11000 and ET12 Nodes

Are there some experience with a GT-AXE11000 as Main Router and some ET12 Nodes? I have no option for an Ethernet Backhaul, so I plan to switch from 2 to 3 Band Router’s. GT-AXE11000 as main Router running Merlin, and 2 nodes. I think ET12 will be my choice for the two Nodes.

    Skynet Logging in Skynet

I found on my USB Drive /tmp/mnt/KINGSTON/skynet/skynet.log But looks like it's independent from scMerlin

    Skynet Logging in Skynet

Is it possible to write log messages to a file to analyze [BLOCKED - OUTBOUND] messages? Similar like firewall settings logmode enable firewall debug watch who shows message in a live view. Unfortunately I’m not able to monitor traffic always direct on screen. It would be great if I can...

Access from Guest Client to one specific wired device

Hi I’m running Merlin 384.18 on AC86U. AC86U is running in Router Mode. I’ve activated (only) one guest Wifi. Is it possible to grant guest client to one specific wired device e.g. printer? Best would be only defined guest devices are able to access to the LAN devices. Is there no other way al...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 (and 384.13_2) are now available

It looks like a reboot of the Switch has solved the Problem.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 (and 384.13_2) are now available

Maybe you’re right. But my problem is, my AC86U is useless without running DHCP Server. I try to find problem, error’s or anomaly in the log. Unfortunately I’m definitely not familiar whit that. Maybe its bad luck, but before the Update I had no problem with my router. My Router is now...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14 (and 384.13_2) are now available

Few days ago I updated my AC86U to 384.14_2. I got some issues strange behaviour… I flashed 384.13 , but till some Problem. Now I realized DHCP Server is dead. I’m not able to make it running. Client can’t receive IP. Router list for DHCP leases shows always. “No active leases”. In the System...

    Guest Network on AiMesh node?

My setup is like this: ISP-Cable Modem -> Main Router (Merlin, WiFi off) -> 2nd Router (Stock, AP Mode, AiMesh) As we know, on the nodes there is currently no Guest Wlan possible. Is there a way to prevent LAN access for specific clients (IP-Range)? Those Clients should have only access to WAN...

    Guest Network on AiMesh node?

If Lyra devices running in Lyra mode, guest network is also available on the nodes (but only on 2.4 Ghz). If the same Lyra devices running in AiMesh mode , guest network is NOT available on the nodes. So it must be a software restriction. I hope Asus will enhance this in future AiMesh releases.

[Question] 2nd Router ,AP- or Router Mode

As we know, AiMesh isn’t running on Merlin. To use both advantages, two devices are need. ISP, Cable Modem -> Main Router (Merlin) -> 2nd Router (Stock, AiMesh) Question: What is the preferred Mode for the 2nd Router. Should I choose AP- mode or Router mode (separate subnet). What is your...

Lyra nodes on AC86U AiMesh Router

Yes it could be that AiMesh creates more problems than benefits. Yes I know there is no guest WLAN on the nodes. One router alone is not able to cover my whole house. So I need something to expand. Currently I use my AC3200 as main Router and he is connected over the air to an AC66U in WDS...
