    Oh interesting I didn't know you could mix and match models. Would that work ok you think? And am I right on the ethernet? Directing the electrician on how many network ports to factor in what rooms so just want to get mesh wiring clear in my mind

    RT-AC86U (AIMesh) losing internet

    Small update; I did a firmware update for both routers and the vpn issue is gone and all devices seem to be connecting again. Hopefully the gremlins have been flushed - if not I'll go through the steps outlined above. Thanks for help!
