    Questions from a new user

Well, that's a bit alarming. I am able to access the LAN GUI because I'm accessing it from a computer on the LAN using the router name (or the LAN IP address). I don't want my router administration to be accessed from the WAN side. I thought I had it set up to disallow WAN access. On the...

Thank you! That solved the webUI problem. Any ideas on the other two?

    Questions from a new user

I've recently installed Merlin 384.13 in a new 86U for an upgrade of my internet service to 1gbps. My old 68U has been setup as a mesh node. Everything is going well but I have a few questions, one big thing and other small things. A quick search of this forum found none of these mentioned...

What to do with retired Linksys WRT54GL?

Keeping three of them in a box isn't all that interesting. ;) Because they've been sitting on a shelf for more than a year and I really don't need to keep three of them for testing, they are listed on ebay. No bites yet. If these routers don't sell, I'll sit on them a bit longer to see if a...

What to do with retired Linksys WRT54GL?

Good point if my printer was connected to network wirelessly. Mine is wired.

What to do with retired Linksys WRT54GL?

On ebay and craigslist they are not worth much: ~$10. Barely worth the trouble to sell them but I understand that if it puts them into the hands of someone who could use them, that's a good thing.

What to do with retired Linksys WRT54GL?

I like this idea and, in fact, is why I had multiple devices before retiring them. The replacement, ASUS AC1900 RT-AC68u (running Merlin), is giving me very good coverage, at a higher speed, throughout my house. I don't know what adding them as a repeater would give me. Can you tell me more?

What to do with retired Linksys WRT54GL?

Thanks. The printer is connected to the router that replaced these.

What to do with retired Linksys WRT54GL?

I want to do this but haven't found anyone who wants them. Any suggestion of someone who might be able to use them?

What to do with retired Linksys WRT54GL?

Thanks for this suggestion. I was running DD-WRT before I retired them. I had also used Tomato in one of them.
