    Netgear RAX120 Firmware

No, they were trying to make me doing all the debugging, and log capturing. I don't call that help. Especially on their side nothing moved for months (meaning they did not come with any investigation progress).

    Netgear RAX120 Firmware

Frankly, they can get away until you realise that. From then, probably many will cease to be customers of Netgear, especially as there are bugs and problems that will remain unfixed.

    Netgear RAX120 Firmware

No, they are terrible. I have the RAX200, with reproducible issues and they are an absolute mess. On one case, the usb mount path changes at every reboot (N:/, M:/, L:/, K:/.....). I'm basically doing their support, every time they call they ask me to take debug logs, etc... it's a massive waste...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

End of story: after numerous efforts, and false information given by Sunrise (they listened the call and confirmed), Sunrise tried to sneak me. After I refused proposed change, they made what they called a "gesture" (I told them it's not one, they have to respect the contract I had). Basically...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Aaaannd.. of course Sunrise made billing issue and now they are overcharging me for the new contrat. Thats an increase of 33.69% while they had claim it would even be cheaper (a few francs)...

PS4 pro Nat type 1: open

Zyxel replied to me. They said the DMZ feature is not for "no FW between client and internet". They said I'm meant to use the bridge mode (which is not available on my Zyxel device due to ISP custom firmware). Also they said if I use the bridge mode, I will have obviously only 1 public IP...

PS4 pro Nat type 1: open

Hi, Yes it does. Strange, I though DMZ was without any NAT. So I really wonder how one can be directly connected to the internet using those ISP modems...

PS4 pro Nat type 1: open

Well, I saw some videos of people getting a NAT Type 1 (PS4) using port forwarding, etc... I thought the DMZ of the ISP modem/router, was somehow like that, without any NAT? Edit: Here is another video: It says to get NAT1, you need a public IP. It also talks about the DMZ. Well thats what I...

PS4 pro Nat type 1: open

I don't think the console would get a public ip address if it's on the DMZ, I suspect it's still getting a private ip from the DHCP, just that it's not on the firewall rules...

PS4 pro Nat type 1: open

Hm... the modem/router has one (84.221.x.y). Do you mean on the PS4? if so, no it's private (192.168.0.101).

PS4 pro Nat type 1: open

Hi, I'm having a not so important situation with a PS4 Pro. I'm trying to have it set to "NAT Type 1: Open" unsuccessfully. Latest attempt, I have set the ip of the PS4. let's say 192.168.0.101 in the DMZ of the Modem/Router (Zyxel ax7501-b0). It's connected with ethernet cable, cat6, port...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

After another call, finally the order was "activated" on 2nd feb 2022... I have made a quick speed test, from far and behind walls, saw average 600mb/s in download (wifi6). Might be much faster with proper test conditions. I still use the Zyxel for now.

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Quick update: nothing activated yet, no 10G on so far. (order waiting for completion since many days). Returning the "Sunrise-internet-box-fiber" (I did not use or try it). I suspect it's not that good base on this review and comments...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Ok back to the explanation board, there has been some interesting development. I have to go lenghty as full transparency for fairness and accuracy. As a reminder, I recently switched from ADSL (a poor old line averaging at 80mbs download) to Fiber. In the process I got a new router (zyxel...

    RAX200 DNS configuration guidance needed

Hi, In all transparency, Sunrise trying to help (with some limitations) and they offered alternative options. They send me free of charge another device, a Sagemcom, where allegedely I can change the DNS. That's also alleged that everything else will remain the same (10G connection, etc). I...
