[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

I'm sorry but I don't know, I'm decently adept at linux file systems but the finer workings of OpenVPN elude me. Anyone able to answer this question?

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.17 (and 384.13_8) are now available

As a temporary solution, see if you can find what you're looking for in /etc/openvpn (enable SSH on the router and connect using WinSCP software)

    WiFi Upload/Download Speed Differences

Have you tested different wifi clients? Does it happen even directly next to the router? At some distance from the router I get roughly this behavior on my intel wifi laptop, but our broadcom wifi iPhones do much better, sometimes the upload is even greater than the download, and they will...

    Improve outside coverage?

The more I'm thinking about this the more I realize it doesn't really hurt to try. I'll just buy somewhere with a liberal return policy and if it doesn't work I'll just get my money back. I think having a separate SSID would be an acceptable drawback considering the massive price difference...

    Improve outside coverage?

This certainly looks quick and inexpensive to get going. I kinda dismissed this because of overall poor user reviews for these solutions, but user error is probably very common. If I place this in the upstairs living room I guess devices in this area will associate with this AP. I would need...

    Improve outside coverage?

Guess I crossposted. I think only the Lyra series look good enough for living room mounting, would this work well with the 68U? Edit: I don’t think I really need fast/seamless roaming

    Improve outside coverage?

Thanks for the replies, I’ll try to address everything in one post but I’m on mobile right now so multi quoting etc is kinda difficult. Here’s an improved floor plan. It’s kinda large so I’ll link it instead of posting the image. https://i.imgur.com/ACAxgbx.png Router is vertically roughly at...

    Improve outside coverage?

I'm having some trouble with coverage as I'm not really able to stream music or do VoWifi on my patio, it skips or stops altogether. 5 or 2.4GHz doesn't seem to make a difference. I drew a rough drawing of the layout attached below. I'm almost positive the brick half-wall is the issue as its...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.55 is now available

What device are you running? I am stable on 378.55 with my ac68u. I don't have any hard numbers, but it seems ARM devices generally do well with this release, mixed reviews otherwise.. Oh and if it matters, I use IPv6 (6rd), beamforming, VPN, IPTV traffic (VLAN/IGMP features) which are...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.55 is now available

This isn't true, my rt68u has copied its MAC address from my ISP-provided Zyxel router, because if the router's MAC isn't what my ISP expects it to be my ISP won't communicate with it. Despite this, the asuscomm.com DDNS service works just fine. I use it all the time to VPN into my home network...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.55 is now available

Marc, downgrading should not be a problem, try re-downloading the file. Use a SHA256 hash checker tool to verify the file, hashes are posted on firmware download page (http://asuswrt.lostrealm.ca/download). Just make sure the hash you get from the tool matches the one on the download page, if...
