Thanks for the advice but the main problem of transmission seems to be reformatting the drive as Ext2 or Ext3. NTFS is not supported.
Additionally, the Download Master is an OK app/service for me which ASUS should keep on supporting... That was one of the main reasons of masses initial purchase...
DM updated to the latest version 3.1.0.114 and NOTHING Changed still !
Can NOT load any torrent files with the Download Master utility (windows) 2.2.3.4 version using Download master ver. 3.1.0.114 (latest)
C'on ASUS, you just broke a "semi-working program" and did not even bother fixing it ...
DM latest version 3.1.0.112 and NOTHING Changed !
Can NOT load any torrent files with the Download Master utility (windows) 2.2.3.4 version using Download master ver. 3.1.0.112 (latest)
Also, Download Master utility (windows) 2.2.3.4 is not updating (or even checking)

Same here... It has been a month (or more) and they didn't fixed it yet.

But it has lost the "Download Master utility (windows)" integration completely.
I can't load any torrent files with the 2.2.3.4 version using Download master ver. 3.1.0.111 at all !
Maybe the windows utility needs to be updated too but it's still on version 2.2.3.4

Anyone tried to move/copy big files (20-40GB) like a 4K movie file between 2 HDDs both plugged to USB 3.0 ports of RT-AX86U ?
- With 4x 1.8Ghz cores & 1GB ram can it handle this file transfer between HDDs ?
- What's the speed of this kind of file transfer between plugged HDDs ?
As a long-term, over 7yrs RT-AC68U user I'm happy with my beloved device. Still not have any problems at all.
But I'm highly interested in the newer models... but I really couldn't get the difference between RT-AC86U (older model) and the newest RT-AX86S "except" WiFi6 ?
Both of them got 1.8Ghz...
Download Master should be in Mbps cause, you already know the file size you're downloading (it's shown both in windows utility & WEB UI) and also there is a counter showing the percentage of the file you have downloaded. But the thing you care about is the speed of download not it's size in my...
Received the automated reply below.
They didn't even read my mail at all.
Problem is NOT an internet speed issue, it's the UNITs used in different screens other than Mbps !
I did sent a reply, describing the problem as "different UNITs in different screens" but I'm not optimistic that...
I did informed ASUS by their support page and got the automated confirmation mail today.
- Let's see, what ASUS Product Support will do now...
You're definitely right. I did f*ck up the conversion, like most of the users... My bad, sorry.
Anyway the main problem seems to be using different units in different screens, which seems meaningless as they all should be in Mbps.
I'm not edting my 1st post, as anyone can be confused just like me.
There seems to be a serious corruption in UNITS in ASUS Routers.
Different screens, identify same connection in different but FALSE units ?
How can 2332.89 KBps (1) can be equal to 2.15 MB/s (2) which is shown as 21.85Mbps (3) ?
(the sreenshot was taken when other clients were inactive. Only...
OK, I solved my issue.
My files were in the root of 5TB Elements, so I collected all of them in a folder called "Archive" under the root of Elements... Voila, no problems at all.
If you need to plug a 2nd HDD to your RT-AC68U be sure to put all of your files in a single folder under the root of...
