While looking at the various NAS devices and WHS devices that are reviewed here, I noticed that NAS devices tend to have lower memory (on average at least 512mb less ). Is there a reason for this? Is WHS memory hungry? Just an amateur question. Thanks.

Are you talking here about disabling the wireless connection from the router or from the computer? It would be a bummer if one has to switch off the wireless from the router- I have three cellphones at home logging on to wifi.
