Hello Guys! I am running on Merlin 384.13 Is it okay to install the latest firmware available without restoring the router to factory default and reinstalling entware /diversion / amtm ?

Cold boot your router. Turn it off for a good 5mins. and reboot. That's what I did to my router and the symptom is gone. My router is almost 48 hours up since the last power outage in our house and I'm not seeing the issue anymore. I think for everyone Asus AC68u is still the best choice.

Okay folks, I cold booted my router and the problem went away. I'm still observing now, router is only at 21mins uptime and couldn't tell if the issue reappears. I didn't factory reset my router from 384.6, I went straight to 384.7_2 Do you think this can cause weird issues? Another question...

Hello Guys, Do you have idea why Core1 on the GUI is at 100% and htop load 5/10/15 mins reports around 6. The cpu bars in htop is mostly under 5%

https with asus gui's has been problematic... not merlin's fault, but Asus.

I just did the upgrade 3 days ago and the router has been running well. I did not factory reset.

Not really. :) But be sure to keep a backup config just in case.

Is it safe to upgrade right away for Asus AC68U Rev.C1 ? I am running on 380.68_4

Possibly an Asus Suppor concern since Merlin just use that base and improve things.

Thank you for the quick enlightenment. :) didn't really know HTTPs is problematic. I might try this one day. but I think ill go through the quick fix which is switch back to http, and just use vpn if needs to remote the router gui. thank you!!!

Yes https, because I would need it to be accessible from WAN time to time thought. But if httpS is faulty then I'd better go for vpn?

Hello Guys, What are your thoughts about this? The GUI seems to crash a lot I would say or at least too slow to complete loading. Is there a better browser for ASP pages that I need to know? I tried in both wifi and wired computer. Tried on: iPhone Safari - sometime the page don't really load...
