    You are right, the perspective of the pics is challenging. No reference. I assumed they are like 8x6x4 or so. If they are indeed 30 x 12 x 10, then yes I'll get in trouble with my wife too.

    I'd be keen to try the kids wifi... my kids are glued to their screens, drives me crazy... apple screen time by itself doesn't cut it, they always find a screen...

    Thanks for the many responses! What I am actually trying to achieve is have the Asus in router mode so I can use the parental controls in the Asus. Through the Asus app access to tweaks are easier / quicker and I can add screen time on the fly per kid's device, Mikrotik router OS doesn't do...

    Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 Beta is now available for Wifi 6 models

    Having issues adding mesh nodes. Rt-AX88U 388.2 Master Cannot add Rt-ax88u and rt-ax58u as nodes. both fail if on 388.2, both fully reset. Unable to add the even if 1 ft apart from master. When flashing back to stock 388.22525 i can add them as nodes no problem.

    @RMerlin When you talk to ASUS next time, could you maybe ask them to make a pretty Wifi 7 router, please? Something flat, white that you can hide behind a curtain or mount on the ceiling. Not every Asus customer plays LoL 24/7, some of us have wives too. Mine is allergic to 27 antennas and RGB...

    Hi, My Mikrotik Internet Gateway Router with DHCP Server is at 192.168.1.1, serving 192.168.1.1/24 IPs. Is it possible to run the ASUS in router mode (with parental controls active) yet receive wifi client IPs from the miktrotik dhcp server? I tried various configs with setting the lan gateway...

    388.1 Rt-AX58U unable to flash back to stock

    Was able to revert to FW_RT_AX3000_300438822525.w using recovery mode. You have to put the router into recovery mode. The trick is pulling the power plug and while holding the reset button with a toothpick and plugging the power back in the light will blink slowly when in recovery mode.

    Hi, updated my RT-AX58U to Merlin 388.1. Now trying to revert to stock FW_RT_AX58U_300438822237.w, also tried FW_RT_AX3000_300438822525.w. GUI Firmware write fails, with "firmware upgrade unsuccessful" Tried rescue mode upgrade. That fails too with Router not in recuse mode. SSH command line...

    Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

    I have 2 rt-ax88 and a rt-ax58. When I flash & mesh 386.7_1 Ethernet Backhaul does not work. Routers stay on Wi-Fi backhaul.

    Hi, I had to reset my main router in a mesh. Now the nodes are orphaned. I can't login into any of them via http nor does the main router see them. Guess I have to reset the nodes. They are in the attic though. Is there a way to reset the nodes via SSH ?
