Hmm I was looking at the Amazon write up. So 4 x 1gb and 2 * 2.5gb with one of those as WAN.

Is the RT-AX88U Pro better? Seems the same but more LAN ports on the back. Lose 2.5GB port but I'm not really fussed by that but I use the 4 ports now and having more would be handy and allow me to remove a TP Link switch. This seems to be on the 3.0.0.6+ firmware as well.

OK I might hold off for a while, there's no burning need to upgrade and yes I would assume I'd need to do the main unit and another Wi-Fi 6 unit for any mesh. I can spend money on other toys for now :)

First ever 'proper' router was a RT-AC68U, upgraded to RT-AC86U many years back now and made use of the older model in an AiMesh config. Network is expanding over time, mainly with IOT devices and Wi-Fi versions have increased as new devices have been bought etc. So... looking at the RT-AX86U...

Home Assistamt with UPnP enabled allows it to automatically pull a load of data in, throughput uptime etc. I can this via SNMP and the link I found to set it up. More secure etc :)

As the subject says really, Is UPnP disabled/blocked on Mesh partners? I use Home Assistant it picks up both my RT-AC86U and RT-AC68U. The stats from the 86U work fine as the primary but the 68U always fails.

I tried reading 17 pages in scan read format but besides the usual cool Asuswrt stuff listed what does "Merges with GPL 386_45958" from the Asus side bring? I'm on 386.3_2 so is there an easy way of seeing what that's equivalent to in Asus core firmware bringing it to 386_45958?

Having just experienced this once again I quickly diagnosed it looks to be my TP-Link powerline AV adapters I use for the backhaul. It's been pretty much flawless for nearly 2 years. Power cycled both ends, found a slightly newer firmware and updated. Fingers crossed.

I've done a factory reset of the node and re added to the AiMesh. See if it behaves better.

Looking at the log it did it 03:48, 05:50, 06:56 & 14:03 on the 12th, 21:00 on the 10th, logs vanish prior to the 9thh. There doesn't appear to be anything in the logs prior to this happening. Any ideas, anyone?
