    i swapped out my AC extender, and bought the RP-AX56 as an additional mesh node, and internet has great coverage. with the settings you have in your post, thanks.

    by pressing the reset button for 5 seconds. once it comes back i connect to the default asus wifi connection and start the create a network process. using all default settings.

    tried new SSID everytime i reset the router, keeps not functioning properly, it was fine until the power went out a week ago. not sure if something happened. all devices downstairs connect to the extender with the same name as the router. should i be buying an AX extender?

    Im already using powerline to another wired device, im also looking to add range extender, the one I bought, is a dlink av 500 wireless N extender. Since I already have powerline does this mean this one is ok? or do I need an AC range extender. I have an Asus RT-AC66U
