    Alright that's a shame, perhaps someone else knows otherwise I will be forced to go with OpenWRT because you can scheduele wireguard-watchdog every few mintues to check. Seems there is no similar feature for Asus if the VPN Client stays disconnected even when the VPN goes back online again...

    A question regarding VPN Director. Does it automatically re-connect to the VPN after it goes down and comes back on again? Or does it continue to stay disconnected?     Yes correction, same thing for but for ARM cpus. I am unsure if stock rom/VPN Fusion have the same type of problem as the way I read it was a specificed problem tied to the Merlin firmware. But I could be wrong.

    I had to setup the DNS for my VPN service, that was the only reason for the change in settings. But I'm returning the AX56U tomorrow. OpenVPN Speed limit was 50 Mpbs on a nearby server. I had hoped for more on a 1.5GHz core. Unless Wireguard support isn't released in the nearby future.
