Random Router Reboots during high bandwidth events (GT-AX11000 & RT-AX88U in Mesh). How to troubleshoot more?

Thanks everyone who chimed in on this thread! No crashes and I've been up for over 24 hours!!! Pretty sure all is well at this point.

Random Router Reboots during high bandwidth events (GT-AX11000 & RT-AX88U in Mesh). How to troubleshoot more?

I haven't been monitoring the temperatures, but thanks for the call out on that. Currently under what I would consider low load, this is what it's picking up: What are the temperatures I should be concerned with? Btw for the record this is a snapshot of top

Random Router Reboots during high bandwidth events (GT-AX11000 & RT-AX88U in Mesh). How to troubleshoot more?

Thanks a lot to everyone for their replies. Unless there is something else blatantly wrong I think I'm going to keep my configuration the same for a day or two and see how my network reacts / if the random crashing stops. I will update tomorrow or earlier if I have issues :)

Random Router Reboots during high bandwidth events (GT-AX11000 & RT-AX88U in Mesh). How to troubleshoot more?

Thanks for the reminder about "all of the settings". To address some of the comments here: No other scripts are running, the only config override I did outside the GUI is settings is the following: router:/jffs/configs# cat dnsmasq.conf.add dns-forward-max=1024 I have tried going ahead with...

Random Router Reboots during high bandwidth events (GT-AX11000 & RT-AX88U in Mesh). How to troubleshoot more?

Greetings Everyone, I've been struggling with this issue for quite a while. I've done multiple settings resets over the year or so, but still have the same issue. It appears when I'm doing some high-throughput stuff, usually things like MS Teams, sometimes when I'm copying a large amount of...

Thanks for the quick response; so you're saying to disable HE Frames I just switch the setting "802.11ax / WiiFi 6 mode" to disabled? Thanks a lot! Btw I'm from Toronto but recently moved to southwestern ontario.

    HE Frames Settings

Hi Everyone, I have been reading a thread where rmerlin recommends to disable "HE Frames". I cannot find this setting and was hoping someone could help me locate it. I've just got the RT-AX88U running 384.14 Is this an acronym for something? Thanks a lot!

    Source NAT for secondary networks?

How far did you get with this? I'm trying to setup a secondary network segment for a lab I'm building and ran into a snag... My setup is similar to yours with VyOS. In my case I'm trying to do a simple routed network (I have a static route on my main lan to my lab network, the lab network has a...

Internal Wifi Connector on laptops - multiple types?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help here. I recently bought a new mini pcie wireless card (the original card was intel 6230, now replacing with an azureWave AW-CB160H BCM94360HMB 802.11abgn/11ac and noticed the wifi connector doesn't fit the antennas. Since this is loaded in a desktop with...

    Radvd missing

Yes, I saw that as an option, but I was afraid when you mentioned in the documentation that you could brick your device requiring a factory reset if there are any errors in the code... Is there any way to test this before a reboot?

    Radvd missing

OK, I got it "working", but I'm still getting a stateless address in this configuration, everything is working together for the most part. I did it by creating a replacement dnsmasq.conf file in /jffs/configs. Here is my config: pid-file=/var/run/dnsmasq.pid user=nobody bind-dynamic...

    Radvd missing

Update: I found this thread http://lists.thekelleys.org.uk/pipermail/dnsmasq-discuss/2015q1/009109.html Looks like it's what I'm thinking... So I need to find a way to stop DHCP while allowing the router advertising... Unless there is a way I can bring back radvd ;)

    Radvd missing

Okay, either way about the PPP error (it is just a warning, I don't care)... Could it be because dhcp is disabled on br0 that it's not serving the router advertisements? What's another way to disable dhcp but allow router advertising to work? Also, how can I restart the dnsmasq daemon?
