[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

I did. However all the difference may not be listed on the Asus comparison. I was hoping to get some feedback from someone who has owned both.

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

I have a GT-ac5300. What is the difference between the GT-AC5300 and the GT-AX11000 other than the 802.11ax support and USB 3.1 gen 1 ports ?

    GT 5300 QOS settings question

Ah ok. I would say the second router should also be located in closer location to the cameras. It's a little hard to get a ethernet cable to where I would like to locate the second router.

    GT 5300 QOS settings question

When you say to cascade the second router, do you mean by wired or like a wireless extender?

    GT 5300 QOS settings question

Yeah the third on 5ghz does the same. Unfortunately Ring controls the recording format an quality, the user cannot change it.

    GT 5300 QOS settings question

Yep all 3 Ring cameras are 1080p and it records to the Ring site. My speeds are 900/900 (roughly). Other devices are browsing, streaming, gaming etc. The Ring cameras are connected by wifi and specifically to the 2.4ghz network. I initially thought the signal was poor at each camera but I...

    GT 5300 QOS settings question

Thanks. I didnt know you could drag and drop the priority. I gave the 3 cameras highest so lets see how it goes. I guess I have to enable game boost right? Do I have to enable app analysis as well ? My main issue is that at certain times my Ring cameras record choppy video and I think its...

Yeah I've done that. Hopefully there is some fix coming soon. It's really annoying. Seems to happen more often now.

Thank you. This seems to be the same problem I'm having.

I've had this problem a few times with the current version of firmware (3004.384_21045-gb451ba1) and the previous version. One (possibly both) of my 5ghz wifi networks would just crap out and all devices would disconnect. Most of the time it would come back. Sometimes I have to reboot the router.

Maybe some of the wifi issues are caused by Chromecast? https://www.xda-developers.com/google-home-chromecast-connectivity-issues/ There have been a few times where I had to reboot the GT AC5300 due to wifi issues. Hopefully Google releases a fix.

Again as in there was a version of firmware where it worked? If so, what version?

What are your speeds if you used Verizon's quantum gateway router with a PC directly connected to it?
