Asus Merlin Router with Zabbix Agent

Just a quick note of thanks to @Markfree for building this bundle. I just installed it on my RT-AC86U main router and both of my RT-AC68U AiMesh nodes and they are pumping data nearly flawlessly under the Linux OS template. Much better to get actual data than the ping-only I set them up with...

    Things About to Get Meshy

To close the loop on this thread, I ended up getting a used AC-68U off of Facebook Marketplace (hardware rev B2 and I'm pretty sure my original one is a B1) and a new AC-86U from Office Depot (I had about $50 in rewards dollars; that plus a price-match to Walmart brought it down to about...

Solved Cannot add node into AiMesh

Quick note of thanks to @MissingTwins I was having this exact issue attaching a couple of AC68Us to an AC86U. Followed your steps and things sync'd up perfectly. Cheers!

    Things About to Get Meshy

I would agree with that. There was some fiber to desktop woorkstations going on at my facility just as I was leaving the Air Force in 1999 and we were pinching/breaking those cables left and right. It wasn't pretty.

    Things About to Get Meshy

Thanks for the replies @heysoundude and @jsbeddow. @jsbeddow, have the drop-out issues you mention happened with wired-backhaul, wifi-backhaul, or both? Since I already have the ethernet infrastructure (cat-6) in place, I was planning on using wired-backhaul for more stable inter-node...

    Things About to Get Meshy

Hi Everyone, My current home network setup is anchored by a five-year-old RT-AC68U (1 GHz CPU) as my main router for the house (placed pretty much right in the middle). Attached to that via cat-6 ethernet back-haul are two Netgear R6120 routers (one at the north and south ends of the house)...

Force LAN port 4 to use the Guest network for Asus/merlin RT-AC68U

I realize this is an old thread, but I wanted to thank everyone who has contributed (especially @hardtotell who first opened it); I learned a lot about how to adapt what others have done to my own network needs This is what I put together for my firewall scripts to isolate my IoT devices that...

    AC-68U Support Future

Thanks for all of the replies. All of the errors are what I get for trying to do this on my phone. Yes, I was referring to the RT-AC68U. And it's good to know that it's still being produced and sold as a V3. Looks like I have a V2 right now based on the FCC ID (MSQ-RTAC68UV2). Unless...

    AC-68U Support Future

First of all, wanna thank @RMerlin for all of the blood, sweat, and tears put into this project. I have been running it since I got my RC-68U about five or so years ago. Solid interface, great features, and an all around great package. Speaking of five or so years ago, I see that the the AC-68U...
