I think the best way to extend coverage is to add more AP’s. I had the Netgear R8500 with active antennas and while it was a good consumer router it didn’t have any more range than my ASUS AC66R. I use Ubiquiti gear now with multiple AP’s and have the coverage needed. Hope this helps...

Interesting. I would say ubiquiti requires quite a bit more tuning but overall will provide better performance, reliability and control over your network infrastructure.

I have FiOS gig and a netgear x8 R8500 and have no issues. I get well above 400 even on WiFi. Wired in the 800+ if I recall.

Since installing this release and resetting I have no disconnects with my iPad. This was the device that I was tracking the 5GHz disconnects for the most part with earlier firmware including beta.
No MU-MIMO option like the previous beta but who really cares...

Yes I updated. Was on the beta before which had MU-MIMO enabled. Only thing I see is MU-MIMO is not in this new firmware. Seems stable so far.
