Wifi drops with spdMerlin 900/900 test

I installed spdMerlin on my GT-AX6000 and saw the wifi drop at 12 mins and 42 mins past the hour when the speed test runs. Is this known about? Any way of avoiding it - changing storage to USB instead of JFFS perhaps? Also the regular speedtest option doesn't;t work - it gives up after two goes...

    Youtube on smart TVs

I can't answer your question but I have tried blocking YouTube on my Sony smart tv too and the only way is by blocking it from my WLAN! I am not interested in blocking ads but blocking access so it won't be a constant source of distraction for my daughter. It doesn't seem to follow DNS changes...

Can I configure my WAN IP address in a different subnet?

I sorted it by following the guide from my ISP: https://support.aa.net.uk/Router_-_EchoLife_HG612#How_to_connect_to_your_router Setting the internal WAN address on a different subnet was the bit I couldn’t see how to do but it is there in the ASUS WAN settings. Then needed to route correctly...

Can I configure my WAN IP address in a different subnet?

Thanks - yes quoting that page. I need to have the WAN connection as PPPoE to input my login details so cannot set it as Static IP.

Can I configure my WAN IP address in a different subnet?

I am try to set up my DSL modem and to access it from my Asus RT AC-5300 via the WAN connection I need to change some LAN settings as per below: "In your router, configure the WAN interface with a private (RFC1918) address in a different subnet to your main LAN. e.g. if your main LAN is...

    Setting up Transmission through Entware

I have got this working but it uses 100% of CPU on my RT-AC3200 so I thought I would use my NAS instead. I tried to port forward port 51413 to the NAS but the port shows as closed on the private torrent tracker so how do I modify the iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --destination-port 51413 -j ACCEPT...

Does DMZ work "almost like" a bridge between two routers?

Hi - I use the same set up almost and it works really well. I am using a Huawei 4G E5186 4G router connected to an Asus RT-AC68U which handles the home wired and wireless network. I have it set up like in post 2 of this thread and it works great. The Asus is set up as the wireless router option...

How to access WAN modem from LAN with different subnet mask?

Apologies in advance if this is more of a general networking question. Using an AC-68U with latest Merlin firmware. On my old NT-66U I could access the WAN modem on 192.168.8.1 from my LAN 192.168.1.2 etc I think however that was because I had them both on the same subnet as I am not that...
