    Nothing you have will tax even an AC1200 router. Pick your poison. I'm surprised how expensive routers have gotten in Canada over the past 3 years. I picked up the R7000 new in 2013 for $179 and now it is $229 new even though it is not new anymore! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    From N56U to R7000

    It all depends on your ISP provisioned speeds. If your internet package is only 100Mbps, the router won't be able to increase your internet speed beyond what comes in trough your modem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    You can't. It has nothing to do with your speeds. I find it is the download server. I can start out at 80Mbps and it will scale down to 10Mbps and fluctuate up and down. Wired or wireless doesn't matter. I've seen it peak at about 110Mbps on occasion but it tends to cruise at around 20-40Mbps...

    What's the issue here? Taking too long to connect to the servers upon starting the game or slow loading the game itself? If the former, the issue could be that the servers are just slow to authenticate and if the latter, there isn't much you can do since the built in hard drive is pathetically...

    2160p on YouTube works just fine on my Samsung KS8000 with built in app. Also Netflix 4k streams are approximately ~20Mbps. Their 4k HDR is ~25Mbps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Yeah that all makes sense to me as that is what I understood from wireless hops. So based on my throughput of ~215Mbps from a Mesh point, theoretically if my ISP speed was higher, I should be getting around ~430Mbps which is pretty much the speed of a single stream AC radio which is 433Mbps...

    I understand the effects of wireless hops and how if cuts the theoretical bandwidth which in turn the actual available throughput when using a router and extender scenario as well as Mesh setups that don't have a dedicated wireless backhaul!     I agree. I don't understand all this paranoia. Google is not trying to steal my identity, frame me, or destroy my credit! I see a lot of this paranoia perpetuated in the Apple forums. I could understand the argument if I were doing shady things but I'm not so convenience trumps privacy for me...
