    Flashed RT-AC87U to 380.67_alpha2. No issues detected thus far in my environment with OVPN and The Ad Blocking Solution (3.8.1) installed. Thank you to everyone for keeping this alive!

    Since others haven't replied... I cannot give you the complete answer, but in AP mode, the device turns dumb...It turns off many services, VPN, firewall?, probably anything to do with any kind of routing/WAN. Much to the chagrin of myself and others hoping to separate normal and guest SSID's in...

    I'll chime in without knowing the complete scenario for what it is worth.... I found this: https://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?t=91734 I have laptops using openvpn (router to router) with the full, not the guest wifi network, working flawlessly for several years now over openvpn.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.55 Beta is now available

    Client certs on AC68 upgraded from 378.54_2 migrated without issue. Client still connects to AC87 vpn server 378.53 without issue. Thank you again RMerlin for all your work.

    End of the road for the RT-N16

    Well, as SOHO, we use n66u's mostly. They work fine. 68U, even better, and we just got an 87u in to mess around with... I use an N66U and I can beat on it, and I have never crashed it. It depends on what you truly have above for bandwidth, and what you consider good connections...

    In the OVPN setup, the firewall is set to? Automatic External Only Custom Thanks to RMerlin, when I was struggling myself with OVPN setup, if it is not set to Automatic, in my case, it will not create proper rules in the firewall.

    I agree. QOS was rolled out then, but it was buggy. Or just when I did, my ISP had a really, really, bad day. I chuck it up to bad code at the time...

    I use site to site router OVPN with no perceivable issues. I'm sure I could tweak it a bit, but if it ain't broke...
