    Release ASUS RT-AX68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24716 (2025/02/13)

I'm running 3.0.0.4.388_24708 on my Asus RT-AX68U with Chrome 133.0.6943.99. I have noticed recently that when I login to the router, the "x" stays present in the title bar for longer than I expect and the "Username" and "Password" fields are locked for input. Similarly, when I logout, the "x"...

New to me RT-AX68U - Devices connected to Wi-Fi but can't reach Internet

I did a hard reset using the above procedure and reconfigured by hand. It made no difference. I fell back to the RT-AC68R and all is well. The most persistent problem was my iPhones not seeing the Internet even when they were connected to the Wi-Fi. They would see the Internet then after some...

New to me RT-AX68U - Devices connected to Wi-Fi but can't reach Internet

No, I configured the RT-AX68U from scratch. I will do the same after the hard reset. Thanks to the above posters for the link to the hard reset process. Did anyone look at my syslog.txt?

New to me RT-AX68U - Devices connected to Wi-Fi but can't reach Internet

I have a brand new RT-AX68U (upgraded from out of the box 3.0.0.4.386_42095 to 3.0.0.4.388_21732 without reset) replacing RT-AC68R. I have a simple network. RT-AC68R was rock solid but getting old. Since turning up RT-AX68U I have had nothing but problems with a variety of devices. I was...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45717 [2019/05/13]

I did IT problem determination for several Fortune 50 companies for 40 years and I'm stumped. After 3 days with only 2 missed pings, I turned off my ping monitor. In a couple of hours my bandwidth dropped from ~180Mbps to ~40Mbps. I'm not certain that the absence of loss of Internet (actually...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45717 [2019/05/13]

Try changing your Control Channel [http://router.asus.com/Advanced_Wireless_Content.asp] to a high number. 157 worked for me.

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45717 [2019/05/13]

I'm a relative novice to routers but I've been following this thread and reading about optimizing the router's wireless config. I'm running .45717 and have changed my control channel to 157. Prior to changing the control channel I was having several incidents per day of being unable to reach...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45717 [2019/05/13]

Where do I change this? Under Wireless - General, I changed "Control Channel" from Auto to 36 and halved my speed.

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45717 [2019/05/13]

I spoke too soon. This afternoon my wife complained that she had lost the Internet twice today. I had her check and she was on the Asus RT-AC68R SSID. I switched her over to the IoT SSID and she's satisfied. I'm not sure that this second issue is related but I'll put it out there. With a fresh...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45717 [2019/05/13]

I upgraded early on 20 May by clicking on the firmware check icon. I've been running NirSoft's PingInfoView from my Wi-Fi connected ThinkPad against the router with 30 second intervals. It is much more stable than 45713. I got a flurry (4 or 5) missed pings in the middle of the night but only a...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45717 [2019/05/13]

Since you've had a couple of days on 45717, how's your "automatic recovering loss of Internet issue?"

    ASUS RT-AC86U firmware release 3.0.0.4.384.45713

Since this is a ASUS RT-AC86U thread, does this firmware apply to ASUS RT-AC86U?

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45713

I haven't been keeping notes (or logs) but I'd say that this problem (disconnects) have worsened with 45713. So much that I have switched Wi-Fi networks on my laptop like I had done on my wife's. I'm not yet willing to go back to an earlier release as I was suffering the problem "browser no...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384.45713

Have you/could we open an incident with Asus? My wireless clients are Lenovo ThinkPads, X250 and X1 Carbon. I don't see it on other devices but these 2 get the heaviest usage by far.
