[AC86U] DNS resolution periodically failing for some devices

Honestly not sure what the defaults are anymore. I have fiddled with those settings in the past, trying to provide cloudflare or google as a default dns, but that messed up my resolution on a much bigger scale (don't really remember anymore). Currently: Enable DHCP: Yes Hide: DHCP/RA queries...

[AC86U] DNS resolution periodically failing for some devices

My main devices on my network are Windows. I have a Linux-based NAS that I am usually able to access via hostname. Periodically, my windows devices are unable to resolve the IP from the hostname. I am not really sure how to diagnose the cause of this problem.

[RT-AC867] Possible to set up guest network such that main network can see it?

That seems to do the trick. Thanks very much :)

[RT-AC867] Possible to set up guest network such that main network can see it?

Not sure if this is the right terminology, but I'd like to set up a one-way bridge between my networks. I have a guest SSID for my iot devices, which I do not want to have access to my main network. I do want my main network to be able to connect to the guest one. The reason is, I have some...

    [RT-AC86U] Custom LetsEncrypt DDNS/TLS cert

I'm not using it with a dynamic IP. I'm using the ddns-start script because it's a convenient, although hacky, way to get what I have working (that's why I am looking for a better way). Sure, I could generate a cert on the router and push to the webserver. That's basically the opposite of what...

    [RT-AC86U] Custom LetsEncrypt DDNS/TLS cert

I have a webserver on my network that is provisioned with an ACME client which connects to LetEncrypt and maintains its own TLS certificate. Because the server binds to ports 80/443 on my IP, I can't have the router getting its own certificates (correct me if I'm wrong) through an ACME challenge...

Any way to access guest wifi nodes from regular network?

I have wome IoT devices (smart plugs, thermostats, etc) which are not hardened. Well, I can't verify whether or not they are hardened. Anyway, I have put those on my guest network, to prevent an adversary from attacking my sensitive devices through my IoT devices. However, I have a server...

    AC86U 384.14_2 - Automatically updating TLS certs?

Hi, I've got a domain that I use for home networking stuff, and I currently run an ACME client on it to get TLS certificates from LetsEncrypt. On my previous router, I had a script that would pull these certificates down securely and restart httpd. I'd like to achieve the same thing here...

    ASUS RT-AC1900P Dual-band Wireless-AC1900 Gigabit Router Reviewed

Thanks for disseminating this! Does anyone know why the UDP performance on the AC1900P is so much worse when everything else is marginally better? Seems really strange. Do you need to open up the box to see the hardware version? What's the difference between V3 and the B ones?
