    Question regarding haproxy and iptables

I've installed haproxy via entware so that I can tunnel both openvpn (running on router) and a separate locally hosted https server through port 443 of my router. I need to tunnel openvpn over port 443 because some WiFis block access to non standard ports and I need https over 443 so that the...

OpenVPN stuck in initialization after 384.4_2 update on RT-AC66U_B1

Had the same problem when upgrading to 384.10_2 from 2 versions before this one. Hitting "apply" on the general page seemed to fix it without needing to factory reset.

Best practices for finer control of DHCP and IP Address pools?

Just remembered I have yours installed and it doesn't work with "Access Intranet" so that explains why one of my guest networks is still bridged. That being said, I'd really like to be able to try really wacky configurations (sharing addresses across disjoint networks as 1 example; just to see...

Best practices for finer control of DHCP and IP Address pools?

I've recently taken the time to try and understand dnsmasq (seems pretty straightforward with only a bit of ambiguity in the dnsmasq docs). Some of the things I'd like to do are - separate ip ranges depending on interface used and various other parameters (e.g. device class) - separate dhcp...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

Seems to have resolved itself somewhat. From much earlier builds, when doing speed tests internally, the CPU usage would usually hover somewhere around 25-60%. Guess when it goes out through the WAN it needs more power for the NAT?

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

Dang. I was hoping this was a common bug. Was hoping to avoid that. You're most welcome! :D Router: Asus RT-AC5300 Client Devices (Not really relevant but): Desktop 1Gbps Realtek NIC (reaches close to 1 Gbps on local network transfers), Samsung S7 Edge (works fine on other routers in other...

    [Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.68 is available

With this release, my first CPU maxes out at 100% whenever I do a speed test and I can't max out my new 1GBps WAN line. WiFi also cannot even reach 200MBps (when I had my 200MBps WAN) and hovers around 100MBps now.

    OpenVPN unrevoke

Fixed it by almost completely resetting my openvpn settings by removing the /jffs/openvpn/* files after both servers were shutdown and clearing out the nvram as listed in this post: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/solved-rt-ac68u-how-to-reset-openvpn-server.25806/#post-336005

[Solved] RT-AC68U how to reset OpenVPN server

I had to remove the /jffs/openvpn/* files after both servers were off and then run the following in order for it to totally clear out the certificates (but some settings on the ui page still remained but they didn't affect me) nvram unset vpn_crt_server1_ca nvram unset vpn_crt_server1_ca nvram...

    OpenVPN unrevoke

I didn't realise this was the case. I revoked my cert to test out how it worked. I then had issues removing the cert from the crl field of the ui. I had to use a space then save it and apply before it would go away. In any case, the crl files appear to be all empty but now I keep getting EOF...

    Hide SSID - Guest Networks?

Just want to say that this still works on 380.66_6 This is what open source is all about. The ability to do things that can be done, regardless of whether others think it should be done.

RT-AC5300 LAG and Cisco 2960g issue

I just want to point out that isn't what happened for me. The first time was to only plug in the 2nd member after the router had fully booted up. The second post was about how it restarted 3 times in total and I didn't have to unplug then replug the member at any time. But as you've noted, you...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.62_1 is now available

ipv6 is now fixed on my AC5300. I didn't realise I had a MIPs router. Can't change the name of a device in Manually Assigned IP on the DHCP server. Changing it in the app doesn't affect the webpage either.

RT-AC5300 LAG and Cisco 2960g issue

Just wanna say, coming from 380.59 to 380.62 beta I didn't need to unplug anything. It restarted twice due to some settings being changed after the upgrade and I still didn't need to unplug anything. STP was enabled on both the router and my switch.

RT-AC5300 LAG and Cisco 2960g issue

Not sure if it helps but I found that booting up the router with just 1 port then plugging in the 2nd after it has booted up works. I'm running one of the latest versions of AsusWRT-Merlin with a TP-Link SG2008. I can't recall but I think that this one-of-the-latest versions that I have fixed...
