    Replacing ASUS AC88U

Not exactly what you are asking, but I really like my dual-ISP setup. I use a ethernet-only router and run my WiFi in AP-mode. My router is a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 4 which comes with a nice wizard for setting it up in either load-balancing or failover mode between up to 3 ISPs. Separating out my...

    Pair of GT-AXE11000 for APs

Ya… I probably shouldn’t touch my APs yet. I was thinking by this time Wifi6E would be further along… time to set a calendar event for 6 months to reconsider again.

    Pair of GT-AXE11000 for APs

I’ve stuck with a pair of Airport Extremes because I really didn’t have any big issues. I’m hoping to find some new WiFi access points that I can leave in place for at least 5-6years without having to think about it. I think I want a pair of GT-AXE11000 running in AIMesh-AP mode. The main thing...

Review NETGEAR RAXE500 Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router Reviewed

Ah, I wasn’t aware this was a normal thing for Netgear/Costco routers. Reading about the RAX75 and RAX80 now gives context.

Review NETGEAR RAXE500 Nighthawk Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router Reviewed

I see you recommending the RAXE450, Netgear’s website doesn’t list 1024QAM on the RAXE450, they only list 256QAM… I’m super confused on what the differences between the RAXE450 and RAXE500 are.

    News Aruba Introduces Industry’s First Enterprise-Grade Wi-Fi 6E Solution

Aruba’s response on that thread today is interesting… I guess we’ll have to wait for someone to tear one apart to see chipsets.

    News Aruba Introduces Industry’s First Enterprise-Grade Wi-Fi 6E Solution

UNII5 support is nice, the lower bands should have slightly more penetration power than the higher bands. I’ve put off upgrading my home from WiFi5 and am stupid excited to finally see some real hardware shipping for 6ghz!

    GT-AXE11000 hits the FCC

I’d like to dump the two 802.11ac access points in my house for 6ghz 802.11ax... the price of these is high but what really kills it for me is they are huge and ugly. Where do people hide these monstrosities? or do they treat them like art?
