    Multiple Static IPs Wan

I have set a single IP address on the router with /29 mask (and use this as default hide address) I am then natting the other usable addresses to machines as required - some as 1-1 nat and some using pat. The internal machines are using LAN based addressing and nat is managed by the router. I...

    Multiple Static IPs Wan

You can use multiple static IP's in the merlin builds using the wan-start, nat-start & firewall start scripts. I have a /29 range from my ISP and do this. Regards,

Why does /jffs/scripts/firewall-start script run twice?

Hi, I have had this issue since about May (I did post back then) but have lived with it since then as all was still working. I have an N66U (no dual WAN) and have had the issue with all versions since May - currently on latest. I have disabled my PPTP server as I dont use it often and...

Asus RT-N66U traffic monitor by IP

This would probably be best asked in the N66U forums but, the default firmware will not track traffic stats down to IP granularity. Merlins builds do this and are highly recommended.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.354.29 Beta 1

Hi, I seem to have a new bug in this version : I have quite a few entries in my nat-start and firewall-start scripts to add entries to IP tables on startup. They have been working fine for all versions so far. In this version they appear to be applied twice in the firewall section...

    Risks for installing Tomato?

You could also go with Merlins variation of the ASUS firmware. (if your only issue is using a /29) I am using a /29 exactly how I want with no issues using Merlins startup scripts.

    [HELP] Dynamic DNS

If you restart the router (or stop / start the wan conection) it should force an update of the service regardless of IP change. You will also see the update (or at least attempt) in the system log.

    [HELP] Dynamic DNS

As for router config on the WAN > DDNS tab : 1 : select www.dnsomatic.com as the server from the dropdown. 2 : set hostname to "all.dnsomatic.com" 3 : enter dnsomatic username 4 : enter dnsomatic password On the dnsomatic site you set up all the DDNS services you have (it can be many)...

WIFI router with unique combination of features

The Asus N66u with stock firmware does have the functions you list. Wireless mac filtering is an option and can be put in allow or reject mode and given a list of mac addresses. Devices can also be added by mac address to the "PARENTAL CONTROL" section, where you can define exactly which hours...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.264.22 is out

You are using "I"nsert in your shibby examples whereas you were using "A"ppend when you tried in your Merlin examples. This alone would have made it not work if the nats were placed under the default Masquarade rule. It certainly can be done on the Merlin build with similar scripts - I PM'd you...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.264.22 is out

Hi BTC. You certainly can do what you are attempting with Merlins Build. I have a dynamic address and a fixed /29 range routed to me and have no issues. I have a wan-start script to apply an address from the range (amongst other things) to the wan interface - a nat-start script similar to...

Are current available Fws of Rt_n66u compatible with windows8?

It is a router, its function is to route IP packets. IP packets do not contain any information about the OS!

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.264.22 is out

Not sure about a heat "bug" but it has been comented that the page is no longer supported by asus. I believe it was there when the pre-release models were going to use fans for coling so there would have been more variation. The production models use a large passive heat sink so the temperature...
