    Yep, you were one of the main reasons I choose that path. Several others advised against it, but I think I saved about 2-3 hours of “config time” by loading XT8 config. Then I just reset the XT8’s and made them aimesh nodes. All good!

    Curious what leads you to that conclusion. I have about 60 manual DHCP settings because I have an upstream firewall that controls what things can/can’t do and it’s a pain to add each one as one by one model.

    Asking in this thread too, does anyone know if I can grab an XT8 setting.cfg and drop it on my XT9 without messing anything up? my XT9’s should arrive tonight and just hoping it’s a quick move to the new ones.

    How are your xt9s working? I have first version of xt8 and have had many issues, but one of the few with USB port that I need. I am considering xt9 but just starting research.

    I might keep monitoring the gnuton spin, but so far the mixed firmware with primary on 46980 and mesh on 25790 is working well.

    I wish I had the same experience. Any particular setting/thing I should consider to get wireless backhaul to work? Most of my apple devices get about 45% packet loss running the 46980 on both main and Aimesh. I always have to go all the way back to 25790 for wireless backhaul to work.
