The speed has remained very fast. I decided to reload entware instead of just using what I already had. I see that entware now installs to a new dir (entware instead of entware.arm). I reinstalled a few utilities and Asterisk. I have Asterisk configured and I've had a few calls already - and...
Good point. It did get me to the emergency firmware loader...at least one of the 30-30-30 steps match up with the steps needed to get into that subsystem
Ok..I finally broke down and did a 30-30-30 reset after backing everything up...loaded 380.58 from the emergency firmware loader AND cleared the NVRAM. Rebooted and waited 5 mins. Went through the setup wizard, left the default SSID and admin username. Ran the speed test and I'm back to...
Hello. I have 1Gbps internet service. Using my providers speed test I can usually putll ~940Mbps down and push ~910Mbps up. There was a slight slow down when I installed .57 and, now on .58, I'm stuck with exactly 300Mbps down and 740Mbps up...test after test. If I plug my workstation...
Having upgraded to 56_2 I now choose to withdraw my request - I'm sorry. I'm curious if the list is automatically sorted by IP address in an ascending fashion.
Awesome. I'm running your firmware and NAT Acc is set to auto. I was running the fork of 374.43 for a LONG time...until I got the 1Gbps service. I could barely push 200Mbps. I jumped to .55 and I can now hit +900Mbps. I need to upgrade to 56_2 (aon the latest).
I know this isn't where...
It's official - one of my AC68 ports has become unreliable. I can hold 1Gbps using LAN port 3, but going back to port 4 introduces some weird instability and the link eventually goes to 100Mbps.
HW acceleration is enabled. On another note - I've noticed that 1 of my LAN connections has started flipping from 1Gbps to 100Mpbs. Unplugging/replugging the wire seems to fix it for a while. I've never known that line to be dirty but I'll look into it.
I should point out that I was hitting about 900Mbps up/down when I first put on 54_2 (I created this thread http://www.snbforums.com/threads/rt-ac68u-slow-wan-to-lan.25869/#post-192891) but I didn't test after I put on _55. Today I'm pulling ~680 down and ~540 up. I plugged my laptop directly...
Hello.
I was recently blessed by my local carrier with an upgrade to 1Gbps - we have FTTH but they've just opened it up to 1Gbps. I was on 374_42 but had to upgrade because that version of code couldn't hit Gbps speed. I went to 378.54_2 and it worked perfectly. I've noticed that my NNTP...
Dude..I was going to tell you "There's no way the firmware could be causing that big of a bottleneck without having someone else complaining" - but age and experience have taught me to STFU and listen. I did a factory reset and my numbers went to 313 Down / 221 Up. I then went to 378.54_2 and...
Hello. My local provider just hooked up 1Gbps internet service - I have a fiber connection and I've just upgraded from 64Mbps. I was SUPER excited! The vendor hooked everything up and tested with his laptop by connecting directly to the ethernet connection - he his 924Mbps down, and 873Mbps...
I'm still running 374.43_2 as this was the last reported "stable" release. I keep looking through these forums to see if anyone recommends moving to one of the more recent releases, but nothing has compelled me to do so. I'm happy with the currently stability and options, so I'm not chomping...
I'm usually hesitant to OC, as it's caused stability issues in the past with other routers - especially the rt-n16.
I just unwrapped my brand new ac68u AND I see that Asus released their own utility to for taking the mem clock rate to 667. So, I feel more comfortable about doing SOME...
