SNBForums Policy on ASUS TM-AC1900 Conversion Discussion

So why are you selectively deleting the "sniping" comments? (I toned mine down because it was snarky and deserved deletion, but so do others it was directed at). Is there a reason to not apply discipline and order equally... Obviously it's your forum and not a free democracy, but really?

SNBForums Policy on ASUS TM-AC1900 Conversion Discussion

Please clarify, how is any TM-AC1900 owner in this thread keeping you from "the business of making a good router great"? Are you that hung up over something not even in your direct space to be rendered non-functional? You've got some bigger issues if this is the case. If it isn't then why are...

SNBForums Policy on ASUS TM-AC1900 Conversion Discussion

You are helping to make my point. It isn't healthy to assume. Nor should anyone be left to do it. The moderator should clearly explain his conclusions and intentions (rationale). Anything else is disingenuous and suspect to all sorts of harmful suspicion and theories.

SNBForums Policy on ASUS TM-AC1900 Conversion Discussion

So the same applies to Tomato, DD-WRT, OpenWRT, Merlin ETC? This hardware wasn't made to run those after all. The AiMesh firmware was actually made to run the TM-AC1900 hardware (or at least an identical piece of hardware with a different label printed onto it). I am assuming that when Asus...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Give it up man. You are nowhere close to correct here. Custom roms on cell phones also void warranties and have done so for over 10 years.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

You won't see changes until you clear the NVRAM. If you did a reset already, try another means of doing it (Try resetting in the UI, Use SSH, or the WPS method). If none of that works, the CFE may not have flashed correctly. Perhaps dump and inspect it. If it didn't update, re-flash it.

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Did you change the mac addresses in the CFE files so there aren't any dupes on your network? I would be interested to know just how things are routed when using AiMesh. Perhaps some network traffic analysis is in order. If there are any bottlenecks, packet corruption, ETC it should show up...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

FYI, I was able to get two TM-1900s working as an AiMesh master and node on this latest firmware. The master only started seeing the node after I flashed a totally unmodified CFE that I dumped out of an RT-AC68U. (the node unit I left with the original modified CFE). Be sure to do a factory...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

The site and the features stated are very impressive, Thank you for all your hard work on this (and other Asus firmware). Time to start flashing...

    RT-AC5300 lack of updates

Now you are going to scam a refund off some poor sap retailer on a router you have farted on for 7 months? You even seem proud of it. Why am I not surprised. I guess that is just how you roll huh? You are the kind of harmful person whose unjustifiable behavior ruins things for everyone else.

    RT-AC5300 lack of updates

Don't come whine in an experimental beta firmware thread about a lack of an "official" update on your two year old router. Has there been any successful attacks on anyone via Krack that you have heard about? The Google Pixel won't even be patched till December (as well as many other flagship...

    RT-AC5300 lack of updates

Just as well, with whiners like you - Asus likely won't ever release betas like this publicly again. They may cancel the entire AiMesh project for all the crap they are getting. Can you just shut up and try not to ruin it for everyone? This FW is adding NEW features that you didn't even pay...

    Tutorial ASUS ROUTERS JTAG RECOVERY

Can anyone else confirm that this will work for the Spansion S34? It is not listed on the compatibility list. Please confirm or recommend another programmer that will work. Thanks
