<https://dongknows.com/tips-and-rules-on-picking-the-best-asus-aimesh-combo/> From the article: In an AiMesh system, the primary router is the device that decides the features of your network. Consequently, keep the following in mind for the hardware for this role: It should be one of the...

Advice Needed for Isolating My Network Setup From Landlord's Network

Good catch on his RT-AX53U firmware version being a match with the RT-AC86U's; I was unaware that AX routers *didn't* have 388, but I was only looking at current ones.

Advice Needed for Isolating My Network Setup From Landlord's Network

My understanding was that the AC firmware was only updated for security patches at this point. To be clear, I don't work for ASUS nor have privvy to their equipment. RT-AC86U isn't EOL'd to my knowledge, but if AC firmware isn't getting the new AiMesh features, it's definitely been deprecated...

My understanding was that you are most concerned with the master's capabilities since the slave only provides WiFi pass-thru to it. Oh, and the...

Advice Needed for Isolating My Network Setup From Landlord's Network

    > My network will have its own Wi-Fi setup using Asus RT-AC68U and RT-AX53U routers. Were you planning to use AiMesh? Wouldn't the AX router need be the master?

MoCA POE Filter Goes Where in Picture?

House was built in 2004 so it predates MoCA 1.0 (2006), 1.1 (2007), 2.0 (06/2010), & 2.5 (04/2016). Wire/coax has not been rerun. Comcast service technician changed something (likely splitter) early on during troubleshooting call but unsure what -- it wasn't considered expensive whatever it was...

MoCA POE Filter Goes Where in Picture?

Long time lurker, first time poster. Need help updating the coax cable box. Given the following (but not married to any of them): ASUS MA-25 2 Pack PPC SNLP-1GCW MoCA POE Coax Filter Cable Matters 2.4 Ghz 4-Way Coaxial Cable Splitter My thoughts were to swap out the SV-4G with the Cable...
