There are 2 questions here. I don't see anyone asking for any advice about the legal implementations of using them in a different region.

As I spend 50/50 time between US and EU, my routers usually go with me. Currently using 3x GT-BE98 PRO in iMesh config. without any problems in EU.

Do we know exactly what version of wifi driver is being used in this fw?

I just found the solution - it works when you make a single change to each band individually! EUREKA! :)

Apply button in Wireless - General page is still NOT working in my configuration, is this bc of AiMesh taking this setting over? Even with ethernet backhaul?

Thanks for the info. I definitely missed that. That wireless driver from 37812 worked really well for me. I will consider reverting my units to beta3 just for this reason alone or just go with stock until any new alfa or beta becomes available.

yeah, that's what I remembered form beta3, as the wireless driver only was compiled from 37812, it worked well in my environment, I guess I didn't follow the beta threads accurately enough to see that there were problems with it, do we know exactly the reason for reverting it back to 37346?

"6G AFC service (only available in certain countries)" Does anyone know what countries will be on the list? I am currently in EU with 2 x GT-BE98 PRO models and don't know what to expect

To answer my own question: Smart Connect turns itself ON after adding nodes to the system even if they are under ethernet backhaul, UNLESS - the main router gets the ethernet backhaul mode turned ON (Ai Mesh -System Settings) PRIOR to adding the nodes.

I have all my bands separated, different SSIDs, I even gave them all a unique password (just in case) and after a third try of reverting the router to the manufacturer's settings and starting all over again from scratch - I can positively say that the "separate state" works for a while and then...

I am an old fashion guy and like to do my own connections ;) Don't really like all this "smart" approach. Also, what exactly makes the stock firmware on the nodes better than Merlin's?

Does anyone know what makes Smart Connect on GT-BE98 PRO to turn itself on, considering that all 4 bands were setup individually and worked that way for a while...? Would this be caused by adding nodes to it by any chance? And there is no way to turn this Smart Connect off :( Any ideas would be...
