    Frequent Disconnects

    Thanks, and I will try it and report back. Do you think there's a possibility that this is a hardware problem - say, causing lost packets and therefore disconnects? As a note, my Asus -> Thompson WAN/PPPoE cable is Cat6, and I've tried different cables, problem persists. Gus

    I was able to borrow and try a different router, Ubiquiti RSpro running OpenWRT 12.09, still behind the same Thompson TG585V8 configured as a bridge. Seems to work perfectly, no disconnects in 24 hours. Regards comments above: > have line filters installed on all your other phone devices...

    OpenVPN Client not Persistent

    I have tomato/merlin on an asus router, and have set up configuration to connect thru a commercial openvpn server. I want my connection to be manual, on request, only .... ie not persistent, no automatic reconnect. How do I configure this? Thx, Gus
