This is a bad router and i am returning it.

After further testing i get best performance with MU-MIMO and Beamforming turned on.....

My router defaults to 20/40/80 but i limit it to 40 for two reasons: 1) fairly small apartment (>700 sq feet) & 2) heavy wi-fi pollution (city) I have used 40 for years no problem but 80 seems like it will just cause problems with the amount of competing wifi traffic here.

interesting to note. I have the B1 hardware revision, probably not surprising since its a non-China unit. If i look at the latest FCC internal photos for the router we see on the Broadcom chip "BCM4366KMMLWG / UE1723 P30 / 360-26 3" Assuming but not positive this is the older revision BCM4366.

Hello, Surely i must not be the only one around who has one of these. I jumped ship from ASUS recently (sold my AC88u had since 2015, didnt want the radios dying on me). Weird that the MU-MIMO is turned off by default. I had to turn off Beamforming on the latest firmware or i'd get devices...

I have never had a usb flash drive which my router wouldn't eventually kill, or at least glitch out and not be able to see it anymore. I only use a portable HDD with my router now, and good throughput too... often have it serving files via Samba, disk cache, and running ab-solution at the same time.

I am just going to find the exact addresses needed to block with Wireshark. Thanks guys Does skynet do scheduled blocking, so i don't have to ssh in to disable and re-enable this rule?

Thanks for the replies guys, but it's not actually a major issue like with children and i have no need to spy on anyone - my wife's in school and asked if i could have facebook and facebook messenger 100% blocked during a few hours every night on the week days. If she really wants to bypass it...
