    sorry to bother you again but set it to access point and can connect to WIFI network but no internet factory reset ac87u connected wan port to laptop using rj45 - could not get to 192.168.1.1 so connected to WIFI Asus instead which worked setup wifi/passwords etc... applied and that worked...

    thanks for that but got a refund and put the money towards the ASUS RT-AC5300, still doing the same, it must be down to the firmware and going to put up with it for now until hopefully one day, Asus bother to fix it!

    to be honest mate, I wouldn't go anywhere near this box until someone gets to the bottom of this, maybe it's not the box itself but ASUS doesn't fill you with much confidence when they totally ignore support emails - the saga continues.....
