    Does this look right?

thanks and sorry for not being clearer, I haven't made any changes yet so yes, AC87U could be an access point. All connections are using RJ45 so AC5300 connects to Sky via RJ45, another RJ45 from Sky connects to wall socket which has ethernet cable into another room socket, AC87U connects using...

    Can a GT-AC5300 support asuswrt-merlin firmware?

hhhhhhmmmmm now I am confused, added a Server via VPN | VPN Fusion from imported NordVPN openvpn file, activated it and set as default. All WIFI traffic now seems to be going through that VPN connection and looks exactly the same as my VPN Client setup on RT-AC87U - am I being thick or is this...

to be honest mate, I wouldn't go anywhere near this box until someone gets to the bottom of this, maybe it's not the box itself but ASUS doesn't fill you with much confidence when they totally ignore support emails - the saga continues.....

ASUS RT-AC88U 5GHz network connection drops after a few minutes, does not recover

Apologies for resurrecting a very old post but thought this might help others - been using a ASUS RT-AC88U AC3100 for about 6 months, worked perfectly until the last few FW updates - since then 2.4/5 WIFI and cable networks drop constantly! tried suggestions above but no difference, so...

RT-AC88U - can it run too cool?

thanks for that, would you suggest keeping it on all the time or only when it's getting too hot? most of the time it's fine!

RT-AC88U - can it run too cool?

bit of a strange question I know but had several occurrences where I've had to turn my ASUS RT-AC88U AC3100 off when really hot and the 2.4 & 5 GHz Wifi lights go off, I assumed it was the 5GHz overheating and bringing the box down! so starting with temperatures 2.4Ghz=50, 5GHz=54, CPU=77 C, I...
