    I am having problems with xd6 too. Out of memory, wifi dropping and becoming impossible to connect etc. This happened after 1-2 weeks after a refresh reboot - sometime if I am lucky it happens after a month or so. I became so pissed that I installed the firmware from Sept 2021 - the earlier 386...

    Have you tried turning off airtime fairness and Beamforming? Those two are problematic for smart devices.

    Thanks for the tips mate. when you say never click on the wds button - do you mean never to click on the wds tab? I happen to click on the wds a few times.

    the latest firmware dated 2021 Dec is problematic for me. Wired backhaul - wifi from node will drop completely every week. Tried all different settings - channel, mhz etc. If you got this problem too - maybe can try the previous firmware. FYI

    Same problem but with XD6 Wired backhaul - 5ghz work fine. 2.4ghz is pathetic. Tried various settings but still speed is worst than a 10yr old linksys.

    I've posted this in another forum - but realized that this is the more appropriate place for my query Want to check with XD6 users here if Asus had removed some advance settings options. Am using XD6 and I realised that "airtime fairness" is no longer available for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz band...

    Thanks John, for me everything seems quite ok. Just not sure if I'll mess up the processor as your 56u version is based on a dual core architecture. .whereas the 56s is based on single core. Thanks for everything John... merry christmas

    Hi people, managed to install 15e5 on ac56s via ASUS rescue utility... it is running ok for now. Will it have an adverse impact on the router in terms of hardware or performance? Firmware used was meant to be use with 56u (dual core) - but used it for 56s (single core).
