I downgraded back to 44 from 45. My phone was getting disconnected. Not really disconnected as it was still attached to wifi, it just couldn't get to the internet. One of the laptops in the house had that happen too - it had been on all night, and in the morning couldn't get to the internet...
My phone is connected at 433Mbps
Wireless mode set to Auto, the Channel Bandwidth is set to 20/40/80, and the Control Channel is set to Auto.
I did not clear NVram when I updated to this version either.
I doubt you'll be able to accomplish #2 because the necessary software probably hasn't been developed in Linux for the Diskstation.
As for #1, you should check the Synology forums. There are tons of useful posts out there. I haven't tried the cloud station on mine, so I can't help, but the...
The reason for the USB ports on the Diskstation are so that you could attach an external drive to the Diskstation. Or a printer, or some other device. You cannot use the Diskstation like a flash drive that you plug into the router or into the computer. Think of the Diskstation as a...
Verizon FIOS uses MOCA in the house. It's running the ethernet between the cable boxes over your coax cable rather than an ethernet cable. So it uses the existing coax as a network cable. And the video also goes over that same coax.
Are they near each other? My Actiontec is right next to the Asus, and if I turn on wifi on the Actiontec, I see drastic speed reductions on the Asus, even when they are on different channels, eg. 1 and 11. Must be due to interference even though they are not on the same frequency.
You need to re-disable the wifi on the FIOS router. Also, set your ASUS router to Access Point mode and let the Actiontec to the routing. That's how I have mine (66U) set up. It it works very well.
I think this is wireless in general.
My RT-AC66U behaves this way, as did my Netgear WNDR3700.
However if your ISP is fast enough and you run Speedtest.net, you'll see that the router easily exceeds wireless G speeds.
I just noticed the same thing, that's why I'm posting here. This computer is not capable of connecting to N, yet it's connecting despite the RT-AC66U being set to N Only, 20/40MHz, 11u. This is with firmware 3.0.0.4.372.31
I should have said that he rebooted the router.
To reset this one, is it simply a matter of holding the reset button for a while?
BTW, I'm not sure if this is important, but I'm running this in AP mode. That's because I'm letting the FIOS router do the routing. In fact I doubt it's...
Coincidentally I had factory reset my Incredible 2, so it doesn't have any leftover settings.
I haven't noticed any problems with any of the laptops in the house, only one of which connects to the 5GHz radio. We also have various other devices attached and none of them have a problem either as...
