Ok, having tried with various firmware versions with a factory reset after each, I am still unable to get 'N Only' wireless mode working for the 2.4GHz radio. Having changed only the Router password, the network key and setting the wireless mode to N only after each firmware change, I am still able to connect to the network with my PS3, indicating that N only mode does not work for the 2.4GHz radio. I have received the same results with both official and Merlin firmware. Is anyone able to implement N only, and if so, what firmware are you using?
Edit: My intention is to use the RT-AC66U in N only mode and use an old Buffalo router I have (DD-WRT flashed) as a wireless B\G access point, would this yield better wireless performance over leaving the RT-AC66U in Mixed mode for B\G\N access?
