Successful Update on my 2 XT12's, roam assist seems to have been resolved, as I had an issue on the last stable build :)

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

The firmware has been rock solid for me, but I would randomly have an out of disk error that would kill my internet connection for an undisclosed amount of time. Long story short, turns out there has been an ongoing issue with the ASUSWRT Home Assistant service where it just keeps spamming a new...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4 is now available

had a weird instance overnight, where my XT12 Node fell off the network and the logs on the main XT12 kept spamming dnsmasq-dhcp[3023]: failed to write /var/lib/misc/dnsmasq.leases: No space left on device (retry in 60 s) & dropbear[2536]: Error forking: Cannot allocate memory. I did a factory...

    XT8 - disconnects daily

Awesome! I am happy to hear that :)

    XT8 - disconnects daily

Actually, you can bind it to the closest node from the aimesh screen, just click on the little double lock icon to the top right of the device. this will prevent it from jumping around.

    XT8 - disconnects daily

Seems like some 2.4ghz devices just like to fall off after an extended amount of time, I tend to find that after a bit of troubleshooting a reboot typically fixed it for me. Typically it's the devices that are on the edge of the networks that I manage.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.23285

I know the V1 is supported I ran gnuton on my v1 set before going back to stock and upgrading, it has 3 different names depending on the market you are in. there'z ZenWiFI AX (XT8), AX6600 or RT-AX95Q which might be the single pack name vs the multi pack name (just a guess). I've even seen it...

    XT8 - disconnects daily

Here's to hoping for proper stability for you! I know with the 22525 I did have upwards of 30 days of stability before a thunderstorm rebooted the device, and of course I moved to the newer firmware, but Definitely if 22525 keeps you stable, stick with it till you see another/newer build that...

Release ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.23285

I've done it both ways, if you have only the most basic of changes, I've had no issues with switching over to GNUton's builds with no resets, if things start to get weird or you notice the backhaul randomly dropping down/back to 2.4ghz or random issues then consider 1 or both routes for reset.

    XT8 - disconnects daily

I experienced the same issue with my XT8 until I got the 22525 update, and sofar with the even later update stability has not been an issue, I had 30+days uptime on 22525, then moved to the other update before upgrading to the xt12 so I could upgrade the wifi at my other house with the XT8...

XT9 mesh issues - strong wifi signal but no data transfer

Good Question/point, I'd start with the software factory default restore and initialization, if that fails/problems persists then try the WPS option pending how many days you have left in your return window.

XT9 mesh issues - strong wifi signal but no data transfer

Try updating the firmware and and doing a wps Hard Factory reset. https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1039078/ if that fails then I dont know which router set you should go with 🙃
