I am sure this kind of question gets asked a lot but I have been reading many different forums/threads/sites and I just cant figure out why Nmap is showing ports 80, 443 & 21 open on my router. I have UPnP & Port Trigger disabled & I only have 1 port forwarded which is for my Plex server. So why...
Can't get my head around what settings I should input for Cake. I am on FTTC 80/20 with Zen internet, the DSL cable from the wall goes into the Zen fritzbox which is in 'Bridge mode' then ethernet from Fritzbox to Asus WAN and the Asus router makes the connection to Zen's servers. Can someone...
So I noticed that one of the latest updates has added a WAN selection pane which is very useful. However when I selection an option and hit 'Apply' it reconnects to my ISP but then just continues to use the ISP provided DNS servers on both the WAN overview & my devices. Any idea why this would...
Still curious why its happening and makes me wonder if it has something to do with me not being able to set my own DNS servers. Or at least the router not respecting my custom DNS values and just fetching my ISPs ones automatically.
I only have a single static IP with my ISP and I am not trying to configure more than one IP, it simply gives me identical of everything. Both the WAN IP & Default Gateway are identical in the screenshot above.
If I leave the default gateway blank it still connects with the double identical IP

Just bumping this as I am clueless as to whats wrong. Cant understand why it would get ISP dns when I've told it to use specific ones. I've tested it on my devices and they show ISP DNS servers not Cloudfare/Google.
Hi,
Wondering if someone can suggest what I might be doing wrong here. I have an Asus RT-AX88u and have configured my ISPs WAN IP & Custom DNS servers, the internet works fine but for some reason the router still uses my ISPs DNS rather than the custom ones I've set. If I go to the 'Internet...
