Different ways to reset Router.

Will the Web gui method work for a RT-AC68U? I just looked at my logs after having this router for 3 weeks and it's been comprised by malware. (which leads me to believe I can't trust the gui but wasn't sure how the function worked) I have the log but do not wish to publicly post it for...
