    RT-AC1900P - can't access login after RT-AC68U_386.2_6.trx update

@ColinTaylor I can successfully say the restore to factory settings has fixed the issue. Back to full gigabit speeds! Thanks again for your help.

    RT-AC1900P - can't access login after RT-AC68U_386.2_6.trx update

Perfect. Thanks for the clear concise instructions. I'll try rebooting the ONT box and router (now I can log into it) one more time and double check with my ISP nothing has change from there end then will do the factory reset.

    RT-AC1900P - can't access login after RT-AC68U_386.2_6.trx update

Ok. Could you advise the best way to do that? I've actually never done it before. I have a lot of smart home devices that I've assigned local IP address's too for my homebridge plugin configs. Any tips on how to go about the total reset with this in mind? Obviously will name the wireless...

    RT-AC1900P - can't access login after RT-AC68U_386.2_6.trx update

Could anyone explain why my download and upload speeds would drop from close to gigabit down to 1/4 to 1/3 of that speed after the update? Is this a NVRAM issue?

    RT-AC1900P - can't access login after RT-AC68U_386.2_6.trx update

update - I've left it overnight (10hrs leaving it) and now can log in but there is a warning my router is running low on NVRAM and to review long parameter lists like DHCP or consider doing a factory reset? I've never had a problem with this before the update.

    RT-AC1900P - can't access login after RT-AC68U_386.2_6.trx update

It was a 384. something from memory. I hadn't upgraded in a while.

    RT-AC1900P - can't access login after RT-AC68U_386.2_6.trx update

Hi there, I've just updated to the latest firmware for this router and now I can't access it via 192.168.1.1. I have internet but the speed is very much reduced. Would consistently get close to gigabit and now only a quarter of that for some reason. I have unplugged the router for 30seconds...

    ASUS DDNS hostname... already Registered

LAST UPDATE! IT WORKS! I just rebooted my computer and the router and everything is back to normal. Changing the name on the new router to a name to something else, registered it, then changed it back to the name I originally had on the old router worked and registered the name fine...

    ASUS DDNS hostname... already Registered

Update: I've spoken to there support and while he put me on hold I decided to change the name on the new router to something else then changed it again to my original DDNS name which worked. Alas... I cannot connect to it via port forwarding so even though it says its registered it won't...

    ASUS DDNS hostname... already Registered

I followed these instructions and it didn't work. Well waiting 30mins and still says on new router that it's registered. Do I need to change the name AND THEN disable it on the old router?

Thanks everyone. I will do some more testing as suggested above but I think I will definitely be getting a new router!

RT-AC66U with my New upgraded Gigabit Internet connection

Actually looking at the throughput of the RT-AC66U on this forum it's around 830 so maybe there is something wrong with the router or are there any settings I need to change? Difference of 130+ is quite a lot.
