[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

It is a TM1900 converted. So will this cause security and/or performance issues (everything seems okay), but I don't want to end up with vulnerabilities using an incompatible firmware.

Thanks Swisheater, but I see Eric's post below and this one I have is a TM1900 that I converted.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 is now available

Hi Eric, I moved over from Hggnomes 380.70 with no issues on a ac68u, except my client list will not show up under the network map. However, the clients seem to have no issues connecting and getting out on the internet. JD

Where in the world is Hggomes???

I really like his firmware. Its TX level is great and its stable. I hope he doing well. It's a little unusual for him to be out of sight.

Where in the world is Hggomes???

Vacation is unacceptable! Here in America we just work until we die. :D Good for him. This time of the year school is back in session for us, but we had a great time in Ireland back in July. Driving the back roads was crazy at times, but beautiful country. I am glad he is still around...

Where in the world is Hggomes???

Hello all, I am trying to get Hggomes latest and greatest firmware. I PM'd and emailed him last weekend with no response. I saw that he had a 380.65 on his latest text file, but of course he won't post the firmware and in the past I always had to email him, but this time it seems he maybe...

    68P vs 68U/R

Interesting, I wonder if the TM1900 will be spec the same way. Hopefully this does not pose a problem to change out the CFE and use other FWs

    68P vs 68U/R

I see I could do the same. Since the the refurb is pretty cheap (those deals come all the time). I will try with the TM router first and see if that meets my needs. Then expand with a AP if needed. Thanks

    68P vs 68U/R

Thanks, I saw that review. The P variant ranks pretty low right now duet to its 5ghz performance. I can get the T-Mobile 1900ac for a $25 dollar deposit. I think I will try that route first and change up the CFE. I will post my results in that thread. JD

    68P vs 68U/R

Thanks RMerlin, Is the newer firmware (ASUS or RMerlin) providing better performance nowadays? In SNB's review, it did not fair well. I am also thinking about a TM 1900 and converting it to a 68U through a CFE change.

    68P vs 68U/R

Hello to all, Currently I have a Netgear 3500L, but I see a refurbished Asus 68P for $109. I have a large house and I am looking for better performance, parental controls, and over all better security/support (no more updates from Netgear). Just wondering the following: 1) 68P vs. the U/R in...

    DIR-Link 880L??

Thanks Tim. So due to the testing of the 68P and C9, it allowed the 880L to move up.? I guess I don't follow if the others i.e. 1900ac or 68U have great rankings in most categories don' their positions stay the same? JD

    DIR-Link 880L??

I am wondering why the 880L move up to 2nd place in the router rankings? Was there a retest?

Trying to find the right AC1900 router = no sleep and very frustrated

Thanks htismaqe. I did not know it got that hot. That is crazy. Did it perform well for you anyways? I believe you said you did not like the range on it for your situation?

Trying to find the right AC1900 router = no sleep and very frustrated

Thanks RogerSC. I see you everywhere! :) Good point about the pricing nowadays. If one is savvy with Amazon's CC promo deal, you can get them down to into the $120. I am still very interested in the WRT1900 since OpenWrt is moving along finally. But to expensive for my tastes at this...
