    Hi all, this issue with CPU temperature is very annoying, I really don't understand how can be possible that Asus try to fix a problem burning the CPU. Really disappointed... is there a way to set the values of pwr config --wait and --eee to on and let them survive to the reboot of the router...

    Hi bbunge, about the issues, I don't think that it's safe to ignore the CPU temperature: we're talking about an average of 15/20 degrees above the 386.40451 stock firmware temperature, with spikes (reported by many people in Merlin's beta firmware thread) of 100 degrees with CPU forced shutdown...

    I agree. I restored the CPU wait to on, but the average temperature is still 5 degrees higher than the builds 384.19 and 386.40451. Something has changed with the new GPLs of the 386.1 firmware and it isn't so good for RT-AC86U. It's really a pity, I'm a bit disappointed, but they're still beta...

    It seems to be fixed for RT-AX86U in the next beta GPL from Asus that Merlin will merge in the future releases. It's surely not fixed for RT-AC86U because I've already tested the next official beta GPL from Asus and the problem is still there. It's really a pity that Asus hasn't solved this...
