Asus AC-68U capped at 10MBPs down - not sure what is going on

Final update: RIP Router. Modem <-> Old DLink <-> AC-68U <-> Desktop (Wired). Still getting same down speeds. That eliminates anything weird between Asus and the modem that ISP may have provisioned.

Asus AC-68U capped at 10MBPs down - not sure what is going on

Update: My Wired LAN down seems to be fine .. its now just the WAN down from the router to the modem.

Asus AC-68U capped at 10MBPs down - not sure what is going on

Yeah WPA2 has nothing to do with a Wired Connection to my modem, but thanks for chipping in .. triggered some other ideas (which lead nowhere).

Asus AC-68U capped at 10MBPs down - not sure what is going on

Hello, It just started to randomly happen yesterday, which shouldn't make sense unless it's dying. I do already have a dead LAN port which might be a hint. Symptoms include both slow LAN connectivity and WAN Speed Tests show I'm capped around 10MBPs down (upload surprisingly seems to be my...

Upgraded RT-AC68P to newest firmware... now everything super slow

Did factory reset work for anyone had that problems originally? I ended up rolling back to 1031 without trying factory reset. I noticed that both my DHCP Reservations and QOS Bandwidth Monitor weren't rendering on 1842, which means that it probably corrupted that data in nvram(???)

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3873

I had similar problems with my guest network that no one else had. My only advice would be to start completely refresh, so run: "mtd-erase2 nvram" and then hold down reset for 5 seconds.

Tips for troubleshooting Guest Network problems

I completely cleared everything ("mtd-erase2 nvram")... Flashed to latest 3.0.0.4.378.3873 but ran into the timezone/telnet javascript issue on the page -- so flashed to your 376.49_5 and Guest Network works again. Now need to jump to your special CFE build...

Tips for troubleshooting Guest Network problems

Thanks, but no cigar. Never use MAC filtering and confirmed it was not set: Wireless -> Wireless MAC filter "Enable MAC Filter" = No Guest Network -> Enable MAC filter = No. What is weird is after a Hard Reset, it sometimes remembers some of my old settings - even after I go through...

Tips for troubleshooting Guest Network problems

RT-68U I've had no clients that have been able to connect to my Guest Network (2.4 or 5ghz) since 376 firmware. I'm running 3.0.0.4.378_3873 now but same problems. Windows and Android clients see SSID, but after I type in key (WPA2 or WPA) they just say they cannot make connection. I've done...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3813

I do agree with you, as you can override it in Advanced, but here is what I was referring to: http://i.imgur.com/m41A1wA.png

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3813

I think most clients only have room for 2 -- and so in order to allow room for their gateway they limit LAN to 1. do an "ipconfig /all" and see your own results ;)

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3813

..Hold up there. WAN section includes a place for 2 DNS -- this is for resolving Internet domains between internet and your router. LAN section is for your internal network -- the DNS server here is meant for resolving internal LAN domains, like MYCOMPUTER.homenetwork.local. There is only one...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.378.3813

    New AC68 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.376.3626

Has anyone else had issues with Guest Network on 2.4Ghz on 3626? No clients can connect anymore.... devices claiming its bad WPA2 Key. Worked before upgrade ... reset password already but no luck.
