I had the same problem reasently, probably not tge same source of the problem. It was due to day light saving last sunday on my old ac66u none b1. (Old firmware)
Sins the firmware dont have the most reasent info about it the npt went out of sync.
I changed it to correct day and time and so on...
@MWGlidden
You have to remove those commands immediately. It´s against forum rules to write that info here. I think it´s in some way illegal and against Asus rules.
What was ATEMODE originaly set to before your tinkering?
@MWGlidden
Im not 100% sure what you mean. But have you changed the ATEMODE? If that is the culprit it should show at once, perhaps a reboot away.
I miss typed before.. ATEMODE should be set to a 0.. I just edited it in my original post.
Changing that means it's permanent, regardless of how...
@MWGlidden
As Mentioned a few post up by Calkuling, I had the same problem for a couple of months ago. It turned out that my router from factory was set to be in developer mode. So I changed a 1 to a 0 and it was all goid after that.
The problem occured when I upgraded my firmware to a new one...
Hi..
You have done a great deal here.
I'm not a router or unix savvy but I can read and copy.
So just to rule it out.
If you have ssh enabled then you could try running: "wanduck &"
It helped my problem with disconnected internet. I put it in a script. (It was a temp sollution though)
Is...
Did you alter the cfe before? @AppleBag
Have you made a full system reset with the 384.14_2 installed?
Did a fallback of firmware do any differance?
Did you reboot the internet modem?
Have you tried to change wan ethernet cable to a fresh one?
Does internet work despite the diconected...
Hi..
Luckily your problem is not new.
Read this: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/internet-status-disconnected.59830
It's a relatively new thread.
Easily described it's due to the fact asus have started to check for a flag in the router cfe.
And it happens if the router is set in a...
Thanks for correcting me.
What do you think is the most plausable sollution asus would do to fix the issue?
- Don' care cous they think it's due to people messing with cfe?
- Can they send a update whitch changes the flag in cfe (manifactory mode)?
- Turn off the check for the flag in next...
My main question is if asus knows about the problem stated in the Op.
It is a very specific problem regarding checks if router is in manufacturing mode or not. And wanduck being started due to that.
As stated before it's only regarding ac 66 b1 and ac68.
So thats why I did not give more info...
Hi..
The latest firmware has fixed the wan issue.
But if I where going to enlighten Asus about this?
@RMerlin or any one else, do you think Asus is aware of this allready and/or do you think they already know what the problem is?
I gladly file a report to them, but is it worth it right now...
Hehe.

Hi
I have same routers at home.
I bought the ac 66u 4 years ago and it was shiped with 1.75 amp adapter.
I bought a ac66 b1 second hand for 2 mounths ago and it was also 1.75 amp adapter.
I guess there is diferant hardware revisions.
