I'm going to wait until nobody is home and try to do lots of various resetting to see if maybe I can bring it back to how it used to work. It did work flawlessly "yesterday". Something happened over night which I don't know because it happened in the middle of the night and today I have this...
So weird... set the main DNS on the router to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.3. Set my phone to user defined 2 in DNS Director (which is 8.8.8.8) and immediately goes back to no internet access. Switched it to user defined 3 (which is 8.8.4.4) no internet access. Set it to no redirection... connected no...
Well, I'm going to switch the primary DNS on the router to one of those malware blocking DNS sites for 99% of my devices. my phone was on user defined 2 for Google DNS to have an escape route in case I needed to debug things. Just strange how user defined 2 blocked internet which is what was...
I just tried this... i set all the DNS Director rules for my phone to no redirect and I get internet back on my phone. If I switch the rules for my phone to user defined 2 (user defined 2 is set to 8.8.8.8 -- the same as the router), then I lose internet. If I set it to user defined 1 (which...
Ok... this one is driving me nuts...
I have an AX88U-Pro. I have it set up with 2.4 and 5ghz bands which my phone connects to. I have 2.4 and 5ghz guest bands setup for my wireless devices (everything else is hardwired into a switch then into the router).
"Something happened last night"...
Ya... I just replaced my old AX86U with an AX88U Pro. The AX86U just died one day... as in, it was working and then the next hour it was dead no power no response nothing. So I picked up an AX88U Pro. The AX86U had the Merlin software on it and I felt that I was in there making changes all...
I used the DHCP change as an example, but it feels like anytime I touch a setting in this new router it has to do almost a full restart. Maybe it's just my perception but I feel like when I had my AX86U, it didn't have to drop/restart all the time. I look at the AX88U and I feel a browser...
Is this typical behavior? I can't remember this happening before with any of my other ASUS routers. I feel like everytime I change any setting in my ASUS router it drops all the connections and almost essentially reboots. With my previous router, I want to say that I was able to do config...
Can add mine to the list... just stopped working this morning. One moment it was there and the next moment... dead. Luckily I had an AX68U as an AiMesh node that I could repurpose as the main router until I can buy a new router.
Yup... I figured that part out (and eventually turned that off). The part that was "odd" was that it was crashing the router when it was on. Blocking OneDrive accidentally is one thing, but bringing down the router is what I was curious about. Once I figured out what was happening, I had 5...

Has anybody seen any problem like this where if I turn on parental controls to prevent file sharing it causes AiProtection to go wild and eventually crash the router? It seem like Onedrive and parent file controls don't get along. It seems like to cause the router to reboot every 4-5 minutes.
