Ah ok, didn't realize it did that. Ive turned it off and used Wi-Fi- Analyzer to find less saturated channels. But is this really the problem when no one should really be using the internet right now? I guess its a wait and see at this point. Thanks for the help.

Its happening on Surface Book 2, Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone. Surely all of them cant have driver issues?

I just tried using the Asus Router iOS app and it said connection failed and lo and behold the iPhone has no internet now. Sometimes some devices have internet while others dont.

Its happening when no one is using the internet. It seems to happen randomly. I rely on Smart Connect and its never given me a problem. Edit: oh you said neighborhood. But its happening in the morning at 7AM so dont think so.

So sometimes my internet stops working, no pages load, and I have to disconnect from wifi and reconnect and it sometimes starts working again. Sometimes when I reconnect to the wifi it says invalid password until I retype the same password and it connects to wifi again with internet working...

I see. Well there is still one problem: When I set my Routers LAN DNS settings to 192.168.1.67 and change Global Filter mode setting in DNSFilter to Router, it stops internet access. That DNS Server is my pi hole. If I add a dnsmasq entry instead it works. But with just DNSFilter it doesn't.

DNSFilter does not work for me. I set 2 devices to use custome 2 which is set to 8.8.8.8. But when I check the DNS settings on the devices, they are pulling DNS from 192.168.1.67 which is my catch all in my dnsmasq. DNSFiler has never worked for me and I have no idea why.

I am trying to figure out what the correct syntax is for the following in my dnsmasq.conf.add file. It's to set a different DNS server for a specified device, but have all other devices use a different DNS server: Is this correct: dhcp-option=6,192.168.1.67...

I'm a real dumby. The problem seemed to have been that my VPN was disconnected. Man oh man.

So I am using a Pi-Hole device with my Asus Router to block ads network wide. I also use a VPN on my Asus router with Selective Routing so that only my NAS uses the VPN. When my NAS is connected via VPN from router, certain apps on the device will not function because Pi-Hole will prevent DNS...

Do you know if VPN Fusion has a kill switch like your firmware does? Also, do they have plans to release VPN Fusion on there other routers like the RT-AC88U?

Honestly the only reason I want to use Merlin is for the Selective Routing with VPN. Your firmware is awesome for implementing that but it begs the question why didnt Asus bake it into the stock firmware?
