Asus rt ac 3100+hard drive, stream movies to non smart tv

You're probably going to need one of those small TV sticks which are actually a small computer that plugs into the HDMI port on your TV. Once you have that in place, you could connect an ethernet cable from your router to your TV stick and run WinTV v8 or something similar to stream the movies.

Asus rt ac 3100+hard drive, stream movies to non smart tv

One app that will stream your movies is WinTV v8 from Hauppauge. The main reasons I am suggesting it is because it is very easy to set up, and cost is low at $9.95. http://www.hauppauge.com/site/webstore2/webstore_cd-wintvv8.html There are other free apps that will stream for you, like...

    Question on ad Wireless

This is good news. I am planning to keep ad wireless capability in mind when buying new devices. Qualcomm has announced that their new Snapdragon 835 will have ad, and we will see that chip in flagship phones this year. Ad should become somewhat commonplace in laptops this year too.

    Question on ad Wireless

Well, I was hoping that two ad clients would be able to make a direct ad connection without any special bother and despite both of them being connected to an ac router. I was thinking that might be written into the ad protocol. Direct connection capability would seem to be especially important...

    Question on ad Wireless

Let's say I have a wireless network where my router is capable of ac wireless, and there are two devices on the network that are capable of ad wireless. When I go to transfer a file from device A to device B, will they automatically make a direct connection between each other at ad speeds, or...

Honeywell Thermostats dropping connect to ASUS RT-AC88U

Southernclipper, I also have a Honeywell wifi thermostat and it has been working quite well for a few years now. One thing that I remember from the installation is that there is a section in the user manual that mentions what you need to do to the thermostat if you change routers. I'm not saying...

Cheap Wireless bridge to link 2 DSL Routers?

Do you think that your house wiring between the house and cabin would lend itself to the use of a pair of powerline adapters? If so, then it seems to me you could get rid of the DSL line in the cabin and just set up an access point there (you could probably use the WAG200G for that). That should...

    Question about ASUS router

Another possibility for you would be to use a powerline adapter setup like the Netgear PL1200 in addition to a wireless router. That way your dad could wire into the router and you could wire into the powerline adapter 50 feet away, which should eliminate any lag concerns. That setup would also...

Are there any 4x4 802.11ac miniPCIe cards available?

I don't think you are going to find a 4 X 4 mini PCIe card. Development seems to have stopped a while back on Mini PCIe cards in favor of M.2.

    suggest a Wifi/ethernet printer ?

Shah, I would go ahead and perform the "Add a Printer" process manually. First remove your existing printers. Nothing to lose. Good luck.

    suggest a Wifi/ethernet printer ?

Shah, did you go through the "Add a Printer or Scanner" procedure in the settings portion of Windows?

Wi-Fi Alliance Announces Start of WiGig Certification

I think WiGig holds a lot of promise. It is the missing link for ultraportables like the Macbook and Zenbook 3. Wireless connectivity and high speed file transfer will make having only one USB type C port much more tolerable.

Does the problem still occur if you shut down the secondary router and totally remove it from the system?
