    Asus RT-AC66U Performance degradation issue solved.

    I too have found that the Merlin build fixes this problem. I'm using 374.35_4 on both the Router and Bridge. I see sustained file transfer speeds ~40MB/s after 9 days of uptime. The only problem I've had is that after that long of uptime, the web interface becomes partially unresponsive.

    Auto reboot for RT-AC66U?

    I've owned this router for over a year. Throughout the various firmware updates, resets, etc. the problem of router freezing/crashing and degradation of the link over time has never been resolved. The only solution has been to reset the router about every 2-3 days. Then it seems okay...

    No fix yet for the router resets every 2 days or so when connected with a media bridge.

    RT-AC66U Media Bridge Stability

    Same issue here. It's not a sudden failure, but progressive. At that point I can get into the web interface of the bridge, but the router won't respond, or will prompt for login, but then time out. PITA.n

    Well I'm only using another ASUS RT-AC66U as a bridge and have the problem with that. In bridge mode, the transfer speed dropped by ~30% going from .270 to .354. But .270 has the bug where it's fast for about a day, then drops in speed. I can reset it with a quick refresh of the router's...

    5Ghz connection still drops

    I was having the same problem with rev .270 firmware. It seemed to go away when I cleared the NVRAM and manually re-entered my various settings. I turned it off, held the WPS button, and turned it back on until the power light spasmed. It never dropped then.
