you mean it will enable it remotely (not on local network).. i have an external firewall above my wifi router so assume if it is enabled it wont work.. but again how do i check if it IS enabled for remote.. dont want to take chances and want it disabled.

speaking of app i just tested and it works locally for my routers but not remotely.. is there something else i should change or lock down in the router interface to further disable it? I dont see any settings. thanks

i already posted links. and i never said it was different than the asus issues.. But from what i can gather it was a exploit that was much more widely taken adavantage off than asus resulting in a much larger bot network...

sorry deleted.. i dont look at any other forums other than merlin so didn't see it on the general forum.. and anyway was looking for guidance on what happens with the s/w update ban in regards to merlin specifically.

the software update is more troubling as that will be kicking in long before new routers are coming to market. We can thank tp-link for this as that last big security hole kicked this off.

you are wrong it doesnt make the move immediately even if you call the command.. it waits the requisite time before making the move... it just starts the process and says dfs is now in state 1 then 2 when the move actually occurs.
