    [ 388.4 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

No problems with my GT-AX6000 so far. Although...one little bug in ASUSWRT that's been around for several years already: 1) Clear NVRAM 2) Put your router in AP mode 3) Apply hostname and domain in LAN settings and you won't be able to access the LAN interface anymore (need to power cycle the...

    [ 388.2 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Did a simple nvam diff between defaults of 388.1/388.2a1 and 388.2a2 You did not need to, just my 2cents based on the diff results.

    [ 388.2 alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

Updated with reset from 388.1 (GT-AX6000) NVRAM reset recommended as several hidden internal settings changed to new defaults. Also bootloader update from 1.0.0.1 to 1.0.0.4 Double thumps up for the new wireless site survey page.👍👍

    ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 finally announced

I had two GT-AX6000. Unfortunately, both produced noticeable coil whine, which is important in my case. Otherwise thumbs up.

    RT-AX86U to be discontinued?

Unfortunately, the chances of AX6000 on this mid-range pro are very low. In the past only high end models (GT-AX 6000/1xxxx, RT-AX88+) got 4x4 on 2.4G as USP. Thus I’ll better wait for RT-BE88U propably with BCM6726

    RT-AX86U to be discontinued?

    @RMerlin: as the AX86 Pro will use BCM6715 for 2.4 and 5G, will 2.4G be 4x4:4 or 3x3:3 ?

    Release RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_45898 (2021-10-07)

Unset related nvram variable and commit did the trick.

    Release RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_45898 (2021-10-07)

    1. Sure, but not everyone wants it activated. Especially when you're on outer receiving edge with your STA and get kicked. 2. I'm talking about the RT-AX86u, which queries the MS-DNS, not just any Windows client. Since this option is disabled on my unit, there should be no related queries at...

    Release RT-AX86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386_45898 (2021-10-07)

Updated to 386_45898 with nvram reset. good: finally there is an option to disable 802.11b (legacy) data rates on 2,4G  questionable #1: why does ASUS now enable roaming assistent on both bands per default? questionable #2: although not enabled, every minute a query towards dns.msftncsi.com.

Beta [Beta] FragAttack patched test builds (386.2_5)

AX86U in ap mode, upgraded with nvram reset, no issues so far.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

Something weired had happened. My RT-AX86u now is stuck in an indefinitely reboot loop. 1. Updated my RT-AX86u from 386.a4 to .b1 sucessfully. 2. Format jffs, reboot 3. Did Soft reset (complete initialize), reboot 4. Did a hard reset, reboot 5. Now fresh setup. All good to that point. 6...

    RT-AX86U 5GHz performance on Wi-Fi?

And that's a fact. Same for me, at least regarding AC86U 2,4G band  But it doesn't seem to count for upcoming devices. Ask yourself: so why you should need to buy additional nodes if a (not outdated) AC86U managed that load in the past? Cause Broadcom's 802.11ax (ac) radio implementation...

    RT-AX86U 5GHz performance on Wi-Fi?

Originally started from a mid-range AC86U (with nice permanent coil whining, btw.) on the way to the expensive top model AX88U in 02-2020, annoyed about the shorter range of the 2.4 G band in general and finally ended again on my old RT-AC86U. My previous assumption: This is something special...

    Release [ 384.19_Alpha Build(s) ] Testing available build(s)

I set up my AX88 again a few minutes ago, and this time I omitted deleting the JFFS. Result: You are absolutely right that deleting JFFS is a bad choice in this case. I must apologize. This is was just my form of standard resetting procedure over the years everytime I want to setup from...
